Dr. Christopher Hammerle, MD

I have a complex medical history, along with basic anxieties about physicians in general, so it is rare for a medical provider to earn two thumbs up from me. If I had ten thumbs, Dr. Hammerle would rate all TEN thumbs up. (1) He is an EXCELLENT PHYSICIAN and DIAGNOSTICIAN. He is CURIOUS, CAREFUL, COMPASSIONATE, and THOROUGH. (2) His EXPERTISE (knowledge, skills, and abilities), far exceeds my 11-month long experience with the GI MDs at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale and decades-long experience with GI MDs in Seattle. He is open to questions, communicates exceptionally well, and has a great sense of humor. I have never felt judged. (3) He carefully examined me and asked questions about some new, painful lipomas caused by my systemic Dercum’s disease. Many local MDs tend to ignore rare disorders with which they are unfamiliar. So, Dr. Hammerle earns ten thumbs up from me, along with the highest recommendation I will ever give to a medical provider. Thank you, Dr. H AND staff.

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Best bedside manner. Highly recommend Dr. Hammerle. Dr. Hammerle was kind, interested and took time to answer my general health questions related to the procedure.

Dr Hammerle did 2 procedures on me, endoscopy & inserted a stent into the bilinary duct. 3 days later, I was in much pain, Hammerle said to get myself to the ER in Boise. Jaundice/liver infection, which caused him to put me under within 3 hours of arrival on Sunday, Labor Day weekend. I was hospitalized for 2 days until stable. I have has bilinary duct pain for 9 years, and he is the only Dr who has helped w/the pain. Smart,knowledgeable,direct,personable,takes time to explain.God send 4 me.

Dr. Hammerle is a great doc, personable, knowlegldgable, and thourough. I had an intake appointment with him, bloodwork, and an endoscopy. No personal follow up though. Results communucated through nursing staff. This would be fine, however, I have had difficulty getting a response to specific questions which is frustrating. I will contact again but that is a big hit to patient centered care Hense the 4 vs 5 stars. I am a busy person too andshould not have to make multiple calls to get answers.

Office as a whole seemed very efficient right up to my endoscopy by Dr. Hammerle for persistent heartburn. Afterward it is impossible to get answers about interpreting the results of the endoscopy (went over it afterwards but the versed and fentanyl (if I remember correctly) make you so absent minded you will need another consultation) diet, otc meds vs prescriptions, getting a prescription, how to proceed over how long to get relief, etc. Not one positive experience after the scope.
