great surgeon, nice guy

Dr. Gorczynski did my hip replacement July 2022. I had so much pain prior to my surgery and it affected almost every aspect of my daily life. It really can take a toll on your mental well-being. I was very nervous about surgery, but Dr. Gorczynski was patient and addressed my concerns. He never made me feel rushed in any of my appointments. He was warm, friendly and professional. He is everything you want the doctor who is going to be inside your body performing surgery to be. By the time my surgery date came, I was confident I was in good hands. When I woke up from surgery, the pain was about 75% gone and it improved everyday. Within 4 weeks, it was completely gone and the limp I had developed before, was gone. It’s been a little more than a year since my surgery and sometimes I forget that one of my hips is artificial. And sometimes I find myself walking up the stairs, smiling because I no longer need the railing to support me. Thank you Dr. Gorczynski!

Dr. Gorczynski has been my orthopedic doctor for many years now and I can say I haven't met a more caring physician. I just recently had my 2nd total knee replacement with him and I couldn't be happier. He explains all options very carefully and never hurries you into surgery. Once you make the decision to operate, he goes through the surgical process with you so you know what will happen before and after the operation. After surgery, he makes sure you know exactly what you need to do to rehabilitate well and he follows up with you along the way. He's great at communicating with his patients and his staff is always friendly and courteous. Because he's an excellent physician, he is in high demand so you can't always get in right away for appointments, but I see this as a good sign. I can't recommend him enough!

I work in rehab and so I hear about what doctors are good from therapists and patients. My own personal experience is that Dr. Gorzynski is knowledgeable and listens and I didn’t feel rushed during appointments. My only suggestions is to get a copy of MRI or other test and bring with your appointment if you get a test taken other than Columbia Memorial Hospital because he didn’t have. It takes about a month to get an appointment. I haven’t had surgery for my torn meniscus yet, but I have no doubt in his ability. I also recommend my husband to him and others to him. Office is very busy but friendly. Sometimes wait times on phone is long.

Very professional. Believes in not doing surgery unless absolutely needed, unlike some others that are quick to cut. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Dr. Gorczynski has been my orthopedist for nearly 13 years. He did rotator cuff repair on my shoulder and I can't thank him enough! The surgery and recovery are not fun, but after three months, I was back to my regular routine and completely pain free. He will be doing my third total hip replacement soon and I wouldn't use anyone else! He is a very professional, talented, friendly and caring surgeon. His bedside manner is excellent! He genuinely cares about his patients and their concerns. He takes his time in the office to listen to and explain things to you. He is also amazing at knee injections! You don't even know he has done it. Truly a great doctor!!! Also, when you call his office, you don't have to go through hoops to get Melissa or Kelly on the phone. One of the only practices I see that you don't have ten steps to complete to talk to a live person. I hope that never changes!

Doctor Gorzinsky is an excellent doctor he did rotator surgery and guided me through physical therapy with exercise to strengthen at home. Excellent staff always pleasant and polite.

Six weeks after Dr. Gorczynski performed a total knee replacement, I am enjoying a healthy leg for the first time since osteoarthritis set in several years ago. From my first visit to the doctor to my post surgery final checkup, Dr. Gorczynski and his wonderful office staff and auxiliary medical staff maintained the highest standards in delivering first class care AND caring! He listens, he explains everything and he is also a great surgeon. Hospital staff is great, too! Thank you, Dr. G.!

My knee replacement surgery was December 4, 2018. I have already recommended him to many of my friends and family. Extremely through, caring and everything happened just as he explained. I was totally prepared. I’m now ready to have the other one done.

Best doctor in the area for knee and hip replacement

I highly recommend Dr.Gorczynski. He’s performed arthroscopic surgery on my left shoulder for a torn labrum and most recently my right knee for acl and meniscus repair. He’s incredibly intelligent and very thorough. Always ensures all your questions are answered. Really nice guy and does excellent work.

After a year and a half of dealing with chronic knee pain 24/7 from what I was told was a torn miniscus, I go for a second opinion and find Dr. Gorczynski! My pain was coming more from severe osteoarthritis and not just the tear. After 2 weeks of exercises to strengthen my hip, and taking a couple Excederin, pain level went from a daily level 8 to a 1, 2! I’m back to walking/jogging 3 times a week! Can’t thank this awesome Dr. enough! Knowledgeable and caring!

I cannot recommend this medical wonder strongly enough. After nearly 3 years, about 12 procedures, and 9 Drs., Dr. G has given me back my life, bringing me from a pain level of 9-10 down to a 1. He is a Stryker Mako robotic expert, and after the first total hip replacement, I am now in PT in prep for the second hip. Dr. G CARES, looks you directly in the eye, makes you feel as though you are his only patient, does not waste your time with unnecessary tests, and works with an efficient team.

I would recommend Dr. Gorczynski for any orthopaedic surgery needed. He just relocated my elner nerve in May and i feel great plus he has good bedside manners.??

Dr.Gorczynski is a wonderful doctor. Very caring, always making sure you are comfortable through the exam or procedure. He takes his time explaining the procedure he is going to do.

I trust Dr. Gorczynski to do whatever I need for my medical problems. He replaced my shoulder and left knee and I'm so glad he did, because they are good now and don't hurt. He is a very good surgeon and very kind and thoughtful.

I saw Dr. Gorczynski for about 2 years to address my bone on bone arthritic knee. He helped me through many options to treat my knee, as I requested. I finally made my own decision to have a total knee replacement. He never pushed the surgery. I am so happy that I finally had the surgery. It has been 4 months post op now, and I am doing really well. He is a very kind and caring man, and I think he is so knowledgeable. The whole experience of this was state of the art. My care was exemplary.
