Dr. Christina Adams, MD

She is an amazing person and doctor. She listens and answers every and any questions or concerns that I could have. She is also straight forward (something I really appreciate and respect in people). She has helped me for years and I couldn't be in the care of anyone else. I have total trust and respect for her.

She didn't address the reason my spouse was there due to findings by a CT scan. Stated there was another type she uses but no referral. Stated should see a nutritionist but no referral. Asked about side effects on recommend medications, she stated none. When I stated that there are usually side effects, she stated normal ones. Doing research on multiple medical cites there were not just normal side effects. The list could go on.

Do NOT go to Dr. Adam’s for any medical needs. She is extremely arrogant, rude, pushes medication and medical procedures without actually evaluating whether or not the patient needs it, and speaks loudly and is disrespectful towards those around her, including her patients! My dad underwent an open heart surgery and she immediately pushed a pacemaker only a couple of days after the initial operation due to low heart rate and atrial fibrillation. She did not take into account that he was taking medication that slowed down his heart rate or that A-fib is extremely common after undergoing that kind of surgery. She even blocked my dad’s meals just in case he needed to undergo another operation to get a pacemaker installed (WITHOUT HIS CONSENT). Luckily the surgeon completely disregarded everything Dr. Adam’s ordered/had to say and sent him home two days later with no pacemaker. Avoid this doctor at all costs unless you want to undergo an unnecessary surgery or take unneeded medications.

Went to Dr. Adams cause her bio on scripps website. From the second she walked into the room she was rude and condescending. I explained my blood pressure had gone up lately and mainly when I doctor office. She said I need medication within 10 seconds in the room. I explained to her I would like to explore deeper into why it’s up and what Can i do before going on medication. She said nothing and walked out. I went to another doctor and he asked if I had sleep apnea, I told him I didn’t know. Had sleep test done….. I have sleep apnea! O2 levels do down to 79% I stop breathing 17 times a hour. This doctor isn’t even a heart specialist he’s just a family doctor. He said your BP will be high all the time if you have sleep apnea. It’s OK she didn’t ask about if I did or did not have sleep apnea. She treated me as if she could care less what was right for me. Push the meds push the meds is all she is doing.

Cold and rude as if your a bother Like a chip on her shoulder not compassionate. Terrible bedside manner

Dr. Adams did not address any of my concerns regarding side effects of my medications. When I asked for advice about my weight gain she told me that she wasn’t a diet doctor. When I asked about my hair falling out and the incredible joint pain that started when I began taking blood pressure meds she didn’t offer any suggestions or advice.

I had moved to the San Diego area, but was still traveling to visit my prior cardiologist when he discovered atrial fibrillation. He told me I needed to find a cardiologist closer to where I live. Dr. Adams tried to correct the problem, but I ended up having to have a procedure with a doctor who did an ablation. She continues to monitor my heart through an implanted monitor and annual visits. Very happy with her.
