Dr. Gussner, Idaho Physical Medicine & Rehab.
DR. GUSSNER IS THE BEST! He is extremely knowledgeable, takes the time to listen, and is very thorough is his diagnoses. He has treated both my husband and myself, each time with a caring and friendly manner which we found to be very comforting. His skill has been clearly demonstrated in the surgery center. He has always taken the time to explain everything thoroughly, and answers all of our questions. His care is top notch. Dr. Gussner is extremely professional, and we trust him implicitly to provide excellent care.

Glaring lack of empathy he has asked if I'm a hypochondriac. I have lupus and have lost a kidney to lupus nephritis. I have had my gall bladder burst and my thyroid and parathyroids removed. I have had melanoma, leukemia, breast cancer, blockage of blood supply to my liver which caused a heart attack. I have a pancreatic divism, stones in my liver, stones in my one remainimng kidney, an abdominal hernia and an aortic aneurysm that keeps increasing in size due to pain driven high blood pressure! Where can u get help?

I can't understand the poor ratings at all. He listened. He actually heard me. I've only had one appointment with him so far but i really liked him. I get the impression that he will try his hardest to get me some pain relief. I hope. One of the best doctors I've seen over my 3 years of dealing with chronic pain. The wait time was long but I was ok with that because when it was my turn he gave me 45 minutes of time.

I was referred to Dr Gussner for lower back pain. He was pleasant, thorough, very professional and honest about my options and alternatives. I would recommend him without hesitation.

Dr. Gussner is personable, patient and seems genuinely interested in my wellbeing. Awhile back, I had a sudden, completely new pain issue and was seen immediately. I couldn't recommend him more highly.

I've seen Dr. Gussner for back pain for many years. Dr. Gussner has treated me himself, and has also referred me to specialists when he feels its in my best interests. Even though my back pain has never fully resolved I have a good life because of the care he has provided.

Absolutely wonderful! He had the added bonus of having to deal with a doctor's office that couldn't even tell him what caused my issue (claimed it was shingles, "lost" the titer and didn't tell us, come to find out it was a brown recluse spider bite), but he was kind and calm the entire time. When I needed the spinal injection, he preformed the procedure and he and his nurses helped keep me calm and joke around a bit. I couldn't say anything better about him or the staff he works with!

Dr Gussner has done two injections in my back. The first one only lasted a week, so he did another one and it has lasted over 8 yr. I would definitely go back to him if I needed to again.

Dr. Gussner is amazing; I have been his patient for several years. I read another patient's review that he is not personable, which has not been my experience at all. He has always been interested and engaged. I have chronic back pain. Dr. Gussner put me on a daily regimen of Tramadol, which has worked wonders for my pain. He also has delivered cortisone injections, which have been successful. I highly recommend Dr. Gussner. He is an expert physician.

Not very personable. Focused on typing on laptop, no eye contact or talking. Focused on weight, did not seem interested in me as a patient. Was in extreme pain, he did not appear concerned or willing to help. Felt I was dismissed with no satisfaction. Showed no compassion, no concern. Felt I was judged and disrespected due to being overweight. Not a good patient experience.
