Comprehensive, Pays Attention, Good Diagnostician
Started treating with Dr. Ramrakhiani almost 10 years ago. Unlike other doctors who choose to practice cardiology without any Board certification, Dr. Ramrakhiani is exceptionally trained and Board certified in more than one cardiac discipline. After getting my history, she set up several tests. My other doctors negated my concerns and did no or minimal objective testing. After a topical CT scan with contrast of my heart and arteries it was found I had many occlusions, including a complete blockage of the Left Anterior Descending artery (this artery has its own nickname of The Widow Maker). Four days later I was in a Cath Lab where a stent was placed.I can't prove it, but without this intervention it is likely I would have dropped dead of a massive infarction one day, having no idea of the serious condition of my heart and arteries.Also, she took on my insurance company to make sure I got a very expensive medication.
