Best Doctor
I had several tests at my cardiologist office. He recommended to sever Shafi. He explained everything so that I could understand what surgery will do for me. I had quadruple bypass surgery My recovery was explained in detail The whole team was amazing Very caring I was guided to start cardio Rehab at Dominican And again caring staff I completed my 36 sessions AMAZING JOURNEY

Open Heart Surgery
On December 4th 2023 Dr. Shafi, Replaced my Aortic Valve, Aortic Root, and Ascending Aorta which removed an Aneurysm. I thought about going to a major hospital in LA but realized quickly that I had the best Surgeon and Hospital right here in Santa Cruz. Thank you Dr. Shafi and my Cardiologist Dr. Sawhney for giving me the best.

Saved my life
I literally owe my life to this man. He replaces my aortic valve and did a double bypass. I should’ve done this review earlier but better late than never. Thank you Dr. Shafi! Would not be here today if you hadn’t fixed me.??

Dr.Shafi is very competent professional and a compassionate human being. He is in very high demad and that makes it difficult for him to spend time with patient. Yet he makes sure that he fulfills his commitments. My hats off and regards for this sincere professinal

1 yr ago at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dr. Shafi did mitral valve repair for my acute mitral valve issue. The surgery was very successful. His team was caring, professional and very experienced in this type of surgery. My mitral valve was repaired and heart restarted. I have fully recovered and been back to work full time for 6 months. At 1 year anniversary of new life, I want to thank Dr. Shafi and his team for saving my life. I became a better human being with a healthy heart.
