Dr. Charlton Stucken, MD

Dr Stucken operated on my left shoulder in Nov of 2021 and then again in Nov of 22 and was never without pain afterwards then he did another MRI in 2023 and recommended another surgery. Since I couldn't afford to be off work again I did put it off until now 11/14/2024. This time i had a new surgeon. We were hoping to redo only the bicep but as the surgeon was inside he found the rotator cuff needed to be repaired again. Now this shoulder was originally repaired in 2010 by a Dr that is now retired. That was 10 years without any issues. My issue with Dr Stucken was after 2 separate surgeries he Never fixed the problem. As a person I did feel like he did possibly care but now I am not even sure about that

Dr. Stucken is intelligent, kind, and patient. I feel like I am in very good hands!!

I will forever be grateful to Dr Stucken. I could not move my arm as I was in agonizing pain. I have a high pain tolerance but my shoulder was the worst of my many replacements and fusions. It was the worst thing I ever experienced. My rheumatologist sent me to Dr Stucken so I am fortunate because I never went to any dr who was better. He is so personable and patient and compassionate. Most of all, his skillful surgery is remarkable.

On Friday July 28th, 2023, I was diagnosed with a broken elbow as per the X-ray taken at Palms W Hospital. I knew that it was much worse when I was told I needed to follow up with an orthopedic and really did not have any answers until I got the chance to meet with Dr Stucken. Dr Stucken met with me after reviewing my MRI and CT scan results and was extremely knowledgeable and compassionate to my traumatic injury. Dr Stucken took plenty of time going over everything with me all while putting together a solution to fix my elbow scheduling me for surgery. I am entirely grateful for the caring, compassion, and professionalism that Doctor Stucken provided. It should also be noted that each and every person that I encountered at the medical facility in West Palm Beach FL were amazing. Thank you Doctor Stucken as I'm looking forward to my surgery and my road to recovery.

Had a frozen shoulder in my left shoulder. Dr. Stucken steered me the right way and I have full mobility. Tore my right shoulder labrum playing baseball and he’s got me on the right path with that are also.

On time… everyone in the office, when they saw me greeted me, gave me their name, and told me what they would be doing… The doctor was very understanding, clear, and explained all the treatment possibilities… Will be recommending him to others

I tore my ACL/meniscus playing lacrosse in college. Came home to Boca for surgery. Everything went great with the surgery and rehab. Now 3 months after surgery Im back to running. Dr. S did a great job. He also contacted my trainers at school to coordinate my rehab when I go back to school. Overall A+.

From the first visit to my eventual meniscus repair surgery I have been satisfied beyond all expectations. Initially the doctor recommended a conservative plan of exercise not surgery. Unfortunately a few weeks later I further tore my meniscus and the doctor seeing my pain recommended surgery. We met in the surgical center, answered my questions and now I am recovering very nicely. He spoke to my wife immediately after the surgery answering all her questions in a very professional manner. His staff including Kristy has also been wonderful who never has an issue contacting me after hours with spot on answers. What more can a knee or shoulder patient ask for? If you want to see all of Dr Stucken’s credentials you will see he had a great education and work experiences, including various professional sports teams in Philadelphia.

I had a very good experience with Dr Stucken. First time was consultation, second time was for a cortisone shot to the hip. Third time was a follow up. He was very focused, thorough and friendly.

Dr. Stuken performed surgery on my right elbow, which had been broken (twice) on vacation to Denver. Using the same incision, he replaced the broken hardware placed on 7/13/19 with a plate and 5 screws. After several months, all is well, and healing is complete. In addition, he's a friendly and compassionate professional.

I broke my shoulder in a fall while playing tennis. Dr. Stucken saw me the next day in his office in Boca Raton. It was a nice office and the staff was pleasant. I am grateful that he could get me in the next day. I am right handed and broke my right shoulder of course. He gave me the option of fixing the shoulder or replacing it. I had a great visit given the circumstances. I had essentially NO WAIT in the waiting room. Dr. Stucken personally spent over half an hour explaining the surgery and going over the protocols with me. He took his time and answered all of my questions. I was in good hands. He fixed my shoulder at Delray hospital. He put in plates and screws and bone grafting. I am happy that he could fix it instead of replacing it. He did a great job! After 3 months of rehab I started working out again. After 4 months I was able to play tennis again. He did a fine job and is a true professional and gentleman. Thank you Dr.Stucken

My 16 yearold son tore his ACL during football practice. We were referred to Doctor Stucken by other families on the team that he took care of. He performed a thorough exam and ordered an MRI that showed the tear. He spent over 45 minutes in the office detailing the injury, going over the images, and discussing the surgery and rehab. He was professional and we trusted his medical opinion. The surgery went well. He is very detail oriented with regards to the surgery and the rehab. His protocol lays out the plan 1 week at a time. We were very happy overall with our experience. Doctor Stucken is a doctor you can trust.

Doctor Stucken has been taking care of me and my wife for the past 6 years. Initially he took care of my wife when she broke her patella and was admitted at Boca Regional hospital. He literally "saved the day" and fixed her on a weekend, really going out of his way to make her comfortable. He did a perfect surgery and she recovered. She was able to get back to tennis and golf. I was so impressed with his bedside manner and technical expertise that I switched Orthopedists and became a patient myself. I've had a nagging rotator cuff tear for many years that has been slowly getting bigger and bigger. Fast forward 6 years, Dr. Stucken has given me exercises to do, given me injections, and really guided me through the process. In May I finally had surgery. I'm glad that I waited to exhaust all of the nonop treatments, but Im also relieved that I finally had it fixed. The surgery went great and I already have all of my motion back with no pain. Dr. Stucken is the best.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Stucken. I was referred to him by several people in my community who saw him in the past, some had surgery and others were able to heal with therapy. I hurt my knee playing tennis and probably waited too long to get in. He was very professional and performed a complete exam and history. He offered me an array of treatment options. I tried to manage with therapy and medications, but eventually required surgery. I really appreciated his conservative and thorough approach. I always felt like he had my best interests in mind. He took the time to answer all of my questions. The surgery went great as did my rehab after surgery. I am very happy with my care and would recommend Dr. Stucken highly.

I saw Dr. Stucken soon after a fall injuring my knees, elbow & shoulder. Day of my appointment he walked in with 2 female students that in my opinion was a distraction to my care. I came in to see him for injuries on different body parts and he only wanted to focus on one, ignoring my complaint of the elbow and shoulder. I scheduled to see him again due to the swelling and pain of my elbow and shoulder. He examined my arm, stepped back, folded arms and a cold stare, said since my x-ray didn’t show broken bones there was nothing he can do ,to just give it time. I disagreed leaving his office feeling like he didn’t care. My pain and swelling persisted so I sought a different doctor who ordered an MRI resulting in a hairline elbow fracture, ligament tear of the elbow, sprain to the shoulder, in need physical therapy. My current Orthopedic Specialist questioned why I had waited this long for treatment. I do not recommend Dr. Stucken based on my experience with his misdiagnosis.

Very impressed with his patience, expertise and kindness in treating me for a fractured shoulder.
