Dr. Charles Mitgang, MD

Dr. Mitgang is great but his staff is incompetent. After seeing the Dr. 3 weeks ago and several calls to the office, the staff still never called in my wife prescriptions. I left a message for my prescription with an address change for then to call into the pharmacy with, they still used my old address and now I cannot get my meds until they decide to do their jobs and phone it in again with the correct information

If you have a whole day to spend trying to see him this a doctor for you. 3 hour waits are common. Forget about trying to call office they don’t answer. To get through you have to use appointment option then they are hostile you pressed wrong prompt. They used to be good now they are numb to patient needs.

While Dr Mitgang himself is great (I’ve been seeing him for 19 years), his staff and waiting time leave everything to be desired. Be warned that even with an appointment you will still wait upwards of three hours just to be seen, every time. This is not the exception, this is the rule. The staff behind the counter are less than courteous and the nurses regularly either forget to send prescriptions to the pharmacy or send it incorrectly. After today’s issues of refusing to sit in a room full of patients with the flu for three hours to refill a routine prescription, I will be changing primary cares. Shame.

The wait time is ridiculous! I arrived at 9:20 for a 9:30 appt. I sat in the waiting room until 10:41 am. Then I sat in the exam room till after 11, waiting for the doctor. He spent just 15 min. with me. Really? An entire morning shot to hell. My time is valuable, too.

Very thoughtfull and Knowlegable, very good bedside manner, very good doctor

Dr. Mitgang was friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. He asked question to get my full medical history and he took time to get to know me as a person. It was my first time but he made me feel at ease and I will be going to him for many years to come. His staff was also friendly and helpful.

after waiting 90 minutes for dr mitgang, I left without ever seeing him. it was my first appointment, and I felt this was a very poor way to begin. there was no explanation for why he was late, although I was reassured that even though his parking spot was empty, he was in fact in the office, something I was never able to verify.
