Dr. Chuman has performed 2 back surgeries and 2 neck surgeries for me. He is very kind and a very knowledgeable Neurosurgeon. I would highly recommend him! I wish my insurance hadn’t changed as he is no longer in my network.

Use to be a great doctor. I think he is about ten years past his prime. I would not recommend him today. He depended too much on Kucharczk and I don't think much of him either.

He assisted my ortho. They didn't wait to see if I was fully sedated I heard them calling me fat then talking about how big the man was yesterday. I heard and felt a little of my surgery. Then come to find out Chuman nicked my nerve ending causing permanent damage to my feet and legs. Frankly I think he needs to retire.

This walking crime against humanity put my physically disabled girlfriend under anesthesia without bothering to make sure he had the tools necessary to perform the task at hand, then came out and smiled in my face about the wildly unnecessary risk and massive waste of time taken to accomplish literally nothing. We let all of that go right there at the time when in reality we should have sued him immediately. He's now suing HER for her trouble and is attempting to seize the vehicle that I put a deposit on with the express intent of helping to build her credit without having first bothered to contact me at all even though my name is on the title. This is a 10k+ value vehicle over a $600 bill, by the way. Real good stuff. I wouldn't recommend this guy to people who were on fire if he were holding a fire hose and I honestly hope nothing but the worst for him or for any person who enables him to continue to work in medicine.

Dr. Chuman did surgery on my dad and did not wait for a nurse to assist and put two holes in my 79 year old fathers colon. Several other doctors in Crown point hospital told our family that is what happened. My dad was surprised twice and went thru H E double tooth picks because of this doctor. Since operations my dad has been bed ridden and my mom is paying for most of his care out of her own pocket since this happened two years ago. Since this incident I have found out several other patients had problems with Dr. Chuman.

He was a lazy doctor. No bedside manner. Dismissive and condescending. Did not explain anything, was in the room for no more than 3 minutes.
