Dr. Caroline Banks, MD

I’ve been an ongoing patient of Dr. Banks for almost two years. I have facial nerve damage and facial paralysis from a previous surgery at another hospital. I’ve had wonderful neurosurgeons and phenomenal doctors yet Dr. Banks exceeds them all. Her medical and surgical know-how are beyond exceptional but it’s her compassion and dedication to listening that set her apart. I truly feel that every appointment I have with her is time well spent and she includes me in my care plan while detailing all factors of procedures and options of care. Her office is quick to respond to questions and I leave each appointment confident in the directions given or after care instructions. Dr. Banks changed my life while I’ve been under her care and in a city full of the most brilliant of brilliant doctors, she’s easily the best of the best!

I went to her over facial nerve damage caused by a scarless thyroid surgery. I was very traumatized over it and it pain. During my consultation she said to me that was quite the dissection you had. I thought that was terrible to say. At the end of my appointment with her she said she had to agree with the doctor who did my surgery that I did not have nerve damage. I had no idea the surgeon contacted her prior to my consultation telling her he did not damage me. I went to her for an independent assessment. I did not trust her opinion so I went to several neurologist for an opinion and they all confirmed I had facial nerve injury from the surgery I had to my thyroid. I firmly believe Dr. Banks was just covering up for the surgeon who performed my surgery. She works with patients who have nerve damage yet she could not even diagnose me correctly.

Dr. Banks is wonderful! She is very knowledgeable and caring. I am really pleased with the results of my treatment and I cannot recommend her enough!

Dr. Banks is on the team treating me for facial paralysis and its residuals. In a time when I've often felt sad and lost, Dr. Banks truly listens to my concerns and even invites more questions. I travel from the Midwest to Boston to see Dr. Banks, and she has never made me feel rushed or as though my (many) questions are insignificant. Dr. Banks is a gentle, compassionate, and talented surgeon, and I would recommend her without hesitation!

I had the pleasure of having Dr. Banks perform a blepharoplasty and eyebrow lift . I was apprehensive but knew it would help with my vision. Being a patient of Dr. Caroline Banks is a true gift! In June of 2021, she performed a very large melanoma repair on my cheek. While this could have been a truly perilous time for me, it was not at all, due to her thoroughness and kindness every step of the way. The success of the repair speaks volumes about her amazing skill, and yet it is that skill, combined with her exceptional interest in keeping me informed, comfortable, and encouraged that puts her at the top of her field. In all honesty, she has a rather remarkable combination of expertise and tender loving care and I am most grateful to be her patient. Dr. Banks closed for my moh’s procedure. She listened well, had a warm bedside manner, explained what would happen before she proceeded and offered to pause from stitching if I needed a break. They played music of my choice and gave me a cool gauze to cover my eyes. I’ve had minimal bruising and the steri strip has saved me from having to change bandages. Dr. Banks is phenomenal.

The visit was for post MOHS plastic surgery. Dr. Banks explained my options thoroughly. Her staff was attentive and kind. The surgery was completed quickly. I have a follow up visit in a couple of days to remove the stitches and get an aftercare plan. I'm confident that this will also go well.

Dr. Banks is a great Dr. She listens and answers all my questions and she is very friendly. The people in the front are nice and friendly.
