Dr. Carol Weinstein, MD

I needed to talk to a professional. I chose St. Vincent’s in Harrison . I was seen by Dr. Carol Weinstein. I was made to feel at ease since I was nervous. Dr. Weinstein was compassionate and listened to every word I said. She made helpful suggestions which are working for me. I felt understood and relieved. I was treated with respect. I recommend Dr. Weinstein and wouldn’t hesitate to return if I needed to.

This was the most thorough evaluation I ever had. Dr Weinstein really listened, was very caring, and even took the time to do some counseling; much more than you normally get in an ER. Would highly recommend an evaluation with her.

I went into admitting with a strange headache, with the purpose of finding out what was wrong, since my psych appt was too far away and the headache was very concerning. On the basis of my suicidal ideation (that was neither relevant nor an immediate concern, as Id lived with it for 8 years prior), she threw me into an involuntary hospitalization, straitjacket and all. She actually hovered over me when i was immobilized and told me 'Im leaving you here, and when I come back, you better behave or Im leaving again until you do' who on earth wouldnt resist being committed without good reason?? She is a terrible, terrible doctor who exercises her authority in a scary way. A good doctor would actually listen to what their patient has to say. Theres something wrong with this woman. I will harbor resentment towards her for the rest of my life, she treated me as if I had no rights as a human, and no brain to think for myself.

Dr. Weinstein is one of the most disrespectful unprofessional “doctors“ that I’ve ever interacted with in my entire life. She is demoralizing, humiliating, disrespectful. She has no interest in actually helping anyone, but definitely gets off on asserting her authority and speaking down to people I’ve never been more disrespected by a healthcare provider in my entire life. It is gonna take me a couple of days to get over the experience that I had with that woman. Something needs to be done immediately.

I would rate this individual with no stars. She was distant, in my opinion did not listen, cut off any discussion, was dismissive and inappropriate. I would never recommend her to anyone.
