Dr. Carlos Barra, DPM

After surgery, I did not feel heard regarding pain management and certain medications I have learned that I respond to well and others that I do not. I was given minimal after care instruction and despite asking numerous times during appointments, calling the office with questions, and stating these concerns to both Dr. Barra and staff, my care did not improve. In fact, it worsened. I was met with the same sentence, literally, after every question I had. At my last visit, I was asked to pay my bill before receiving any further after care (was only my 3rd visit, 6 weeks post op visit) including attendance to my appointment that day. I had not received a bill yet from Premier Podiatry in order to know how much it even was ($619). In reviewing the financial responsibility paperwork, it did not list bill payment as a deterence to after care or their refusal for payment plan arrangements. I have since transferred my aftercare to another provider and would not recommend this agency/doctor.

I had ugly ingrown toenails thick with fungus. I couldn't find shoes that didn't hurt. I suffered with this for over 3 years. It got to the point that I couldn't stand bed sheets just touching my nails. It would cause intense pain. After 1 visit with Dr. Barra, I can now wear regular shoes without pain. Dr. Barra explained that it will take medication and time for all of the fungus to go away, but my nails are almost all cleared up. Don't put up with painfull thick, ugly nails. Make an appoinment today with Dr. Barra.

I switched from another podiatrist to Dr. Barra. Dr. Barra was quickly able to diagnose my problem and I was able to schedule my required surgery right away. I was very pleased with the surgery. I only had a lot of pain the first night after my surgery. I was able to have laser treatments to my incisional area done in the office. At this time they are not covered by any insurance plan and they cost $60.00 a treatment. I had a total of 6 treatments. They were very effective at decreasing pain and speeding up healing. Dr. Barra and his staff are very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend him to anyone that requires podiatry care.

Dr. Barra is a very knowledgeable and friendly! I've never been so comfortable with a Dr performing surgery before... His staff is very professional and knowledgeable as well.

I put off going to a podiatrist for far too long and for foolish reasons. Dr. Barra was wonderful and was able to diagnose, treat my problem within minutes and I felt better before I left the office. He did a wonderful job of explaining what my condition was and possible treatment options. I didn't have a long wait and was finished within 30 minutes. The office staff was warm and kind and streamlined check-in with paperwork being printed at home off the website.
