Dr DeLuna listened to my problem and offered relief for my back pain. He thoroughly explained the surgical procedure and the chance of success. I am very pleased with the results of my laminectomy. I am now without pain.I highly recommend him for treatment of back pain.

I am more than just a condition. His questions were yes/no -- no discussion. He was very uncaring and really not interested in what I had to say. He made me feel like I was wasting his time rather than determining what caused my injury. Might be a great surgeron (won't know), but I would not put my trust in him.

I'm not sure where Dr. De Luna got the information for the notes from my visit but the only thing that is accurate is my name, age, and gender. I was told that I have a "slipped disk" though there is no such thing in medical terms. A slipped disk is a slang for a disk injury that can only be accurately diagnosed by an MRI according to Mayo Clinic and Johns Hopkins University. Dr. De Luna told me to get 4-6 weeks of bed rest as treatment though we have known better since the 1950s to treat people with bed rest. Bed rest causes serious wasting in 2 weeks. I was also told that there is no need for surgery though 6 weeks later when I finally got an MRI, it shows that I have serious back issues including a synovial cyst pressing against the nerve at L 4-5. There is also severe stenosis in both in the left and right foramen plus mild central canal stenosis. Several doctors have told me that I need surgery to correct these issues.
