Dr. Byron Knowles, MD

Dr. Knowles always takes the time to answer questions as well as talk with my son. He takes interest in what my son talks about and asks him questions about what he is learning. Due to this my son will talk with him openly. I always get my questions answered with an evidence based answer and he will talk through any questions I have heard from other sources.. we sure love Dr Knowles for all our kids! Best pediatrician we have had and will keep hopefully u til our kids no longer need one.

Listened to my concerns, assessed my child well and was professional. Did not dismiss my concerns and helped me to know what to look for next time.

Dr. Knowles is always kind and thoughtful when we do our wellness visits. Makes sure Easton is on the right track and knows the important safety measures for a busy life of a little boy!

Today we had our 1yr check up and Dr Knowles took the time to answer all my question and I didn’t feel like he was rushing off to the next patient.

We are new to this parenting thing and Dr. Knowles answered all our questions and reassured us. He was very easy to talk to and made things easy for us to understand!

We were lucky enough to find Dr. Knowles through our previous pediatric office. If we didn’t transfer with him, I’m not sure we would be where we are at with the progress for my son. Very knowledgeable and knows what to also educate the teenagers about. Always impressed!

My child has a bit of a health history and our old provider moved out of state. Even though it was our first time seeing Dr Knowles, he had read my child’s history and was up to date! Dr Knowles was very accommodating by letting me hold my child who is not so keen on strangers, especially men. He was thorough and friendly!

Dr. Knowles was very personable and took his time during our visit. He happily answered all of our questions and interacted well with our young son.

Love Dr. Knowles! He was great with my four year old son and I felt very heard and respected while discussing concerns I had. He has great bedside manner, my son and I both felt very comfortable with him!

Went in for my son's 2 week appt and circumcision. With this being his first appt with Thrive Pediatrics, my husband and I were VERY nervous. However, Dr. Knowles answered all our questions and addressed our concerns, and put our minds at ease. We felt more confident in our decision in electing to do the procedure and our choice in selecting Dr. Knowles as his provider. We knew our son was in good hands here. I usually feel rushed going to any doctors appt, but that wasn't the case. The environment was very warm, welcoming, and genuine.

If you would like a doctor to shame you for trying to make your own decisions on YOUR child, this is the doctor for you. He is obviously more concerned about getting a bonus for doing all the vaccines at one time. I am a parent who has vaccinated for everything but was choosing to postpone the HPV vaccine. Dr Knowles was extremely pushy and combative about the vaccine. He was completely unprofessional and got angry and ended our wellness appointment short by just checking my son's lungs then walking out of the room. A doctor's job is to give their professional opinion but we still have a choice. I would NOT recommend Dr Knowles and we will not be back.

Dr. Knowles is the best pediatrician we have ever had. We are a military family so we move alot and have had several Dr's. Unfortunately we no longer live in the area but there isn't a day that goes by that I don't miss Dr. Knowles and his staff. They are incredible! We came back to town about a year after leaving his office for a visit and needed one of our children to be seen we took them to Dr. Knowles and he remembered my kids! It was like we had never moved. Best Dr we have ever had.
