I was diagnosed in 1997 with stage 4 bladder cancer. Dr. Redman offered me the opportunity to participate in a Chemo Clinical Trial, which I accepted. Now, in 2021 and at age 82, I am fit, walk everyday, play bridge, and have a garden with many plants. One of the most carrying Doctors I have encountered.

My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 renal cell carcinoma. Well into his treatment, my husband had hoped he may have a year or two to live but he wasn’t sure so he asked Dr. Redman on December 20, 2018 about his prognosis. Dr. Redman’s response, “You don’t have until the next holiday.” Once we left, my husband looked at me and said, “What holiday do you think he means?” It was the single saddest day of the entire process. My husband passed 8 weeks later. I’m still considering all the ways the doctor could have delivered that news and not once would I have considered that response. Knowledge clearly isn’t everything.

Dr. Redman accepted my partner as a patient when he was sent home by NIH " to get his affairs in order". He is alive today, 4 years later, thanks to him. He listened to what we wanted and guided us with a gentle had in recovery. Immunotherapy was a clinical experiment in 2015 and we decided it was our best path. Stage 4 Malignant Melanoma - brain, stomach, liver, lymph....and through it we came with flying colors! We love Dr. Redman and have referred 10 others to him....He accepted every one with grace and a steady hand. They too are alive to share his name. Buck up and get a grip on your life, focus, get an advocate and seek out this doctor if you want the best care. Need a hand holder? Go somewhere else!! We are grateful to be alive and credit Dr. Redmans Team!! Rich & Susan

Clearly very knowledgeable, but very rude and arrogant. Went over my options, but only made a vague and general recommendation where multiple options were available.

I found Dr. Redman to be warm, knowledgeable and committed to an improvement in my condition. He listened carefully to my questions and answered all of them in language a layman could understand. He is also very approachable and very accomplished in his specialty. I will recommend him to any anyone who asks.

I was treated by Dr. Redman almost twenty years ago and remain grateful for having had the good fortune to have him as my oncologist for several trying years. Do I recall him as a jolly character? Perhaps not -though I surely recall him as compassionate and wise. In the years since -I often think of just a few words he used that provided me with a hope, tenacity and appreciation I'm not sure I would have found anywhere else.

Dr. Redman may not be the warm and fuzzy type, but he lists his home phone number on the back of his business cards. He encourages you to call him there if you need to get in contact with him and you can't reach him any other way. Not too many doctor's care enough to do that. He saved my life and took me from Stage 4 to no evidence of disease for the last 4 years. He is the most dedicated doctor and I am so lucky to have him as my oncologist.

Would you sacrifice bedside manner over the 'most skilled DR' (REDMAN) knowing that in turn that will kill you faster than the cancer itself? With all that you are going through, I think you deserve a DR that adds humor and compassion to the appointment ..... my heart goes out to all families and patients being treated by Dr. Redman. As a cancer patient, I will fight everyday to do whatever it is I can to assure no family/patient has a duplicated experience.

Been seeing Dr. Redman for just over 14 years. He is straight forward, knowledgeable and puts his all into his patients wellness. He is not overly compassionate, but in his own way ensures his patients know their recovery is his top priority. Would highly recommend him to anyone facing a cancer diagnosis.

If you're looking for a Doctor with no compassion, will disobey your every wish, and corrupt your overall morale and any ounce of hope you may have schedule an appointment with Dr. Bruce Redman. To go though a battle such as cancer with a Doctor that has no sense of empathy or adds no humor to your life is something I wouldn't wish upon anyone. Never Stop Fighting
