I went to Dr. Mitchell because I was referred from my PCP. I had a cervical polyp that just needed snipped off. She didn’t cauterize it. She used something else and a week later I have started bleeding called their office on Wednesday and was told that she was not there on Wednesday she was in surgery so I was told to call back Thursday if it wasn’t better. So I called yesterday morning at 8:59 AM and never did get a call back so I called back at 2 PM and I said I’m two hours away and I still never had a call back and the nurse told me that she would send Dr. Mitchell’s nurse the message again. so here it is Friday at 5 PM and I still never heard anything and I’m still bleeding. Horrible patient care horrible!

Worst ever
I haven’t even left the office yet and I feel the need to share how terrible she was. I am only seeing her because my dr is out of office this week so Mitchell was my last option. She first came in telling me I’ve gained too much weight and need to go on a diet which I’m 36 weeks pregnant and haven’t been told anything about my weight gain. I told her that I wanted to be checked to see if I was dialated any (I was checked 2 weeks ago by my actual dr and it went great she was very easy) and she was completely rough it hurt terribly. You can tell she has no sympathy for her patients and just wants to get the job done. Then afterward she asked me what birth control I planned on using after birth like what??? I don’t even know if I want to go back on birth control. She was just terrible I definitely do not recommend seeing her.

She didn't rush the visit.
She took the time to explain everything and she didn't act like some doctors do, like they're working on a car.

Terrible
I saw Dr. Mitchell 2 times. Once while I was 31 weeks pregnant, and my regular Dr. (Jessica Buerck, who is AMAZING) was on vacation. She came in the room told me my blood pressure was high and that I needed to decide on Birth Control for after delivery. I got the impression that she was judging me for being pregnant when I look so young. I know that I look like a teen, but I was 26 at the time. The then told me to go have labs drawn and go to the L&D unit in the hospital because I needed to be monitored. She did not even tell me why. .. My second visit with her was a postpartum checkup. She told me to put my legs in the stirrups and did not even tell me what she was doing before she shoved her hand up my vagina. My husband was there and he was pissed. She had absolutely zero consideration for me, THE PATIENT, either time. This was my first pregnancy, which she should have known from looking in my chart, so I didn’t know what was happening. I would not wish my experiences on anyone.

Dr. Dawley (Mitchell) has seen me through 2 high-risk pregnancies and has guided me every step of the way. She is thorough and kind, and doesn't waste time. She answers all my questions and is direct, which I appreciate. She worked closely with the MFM team, and made sure me and my babies were getting the best care. I trusted her judgement, and it paid off.
