Knee Surgery. Excellent!
This is the only place I’ll go. They’re the best in Syracuse. I received knee surgery yesterday due to an injury. I’ll get toe surgery soon. I’ll get went very smooth yesterday. I qualify for a shoulder replacement, but they’re delaying as much as we can wait. They care about the long term health of their patients. The workers from the schedulers, to the surgeons are all knowledgeable, well trained, professional, and exist in a culture I’d want to want to work at. My coworkers repaired ruptured achilles tendons. The one who went to SOS received better care, experienced less pain, and was back to work 4x faster.

Feeling heard and confident after my initial consultation, I highly recommend Dr. Raphael for expert orthopedic care. He's a true professional in the field.

Extremely Condescending
Completely wasted my time and I’m still in excruciating pain every single day. I did the physical therapy in order to get the mri. I get the mri and find out I have a labral tear in my right shoulder and partial dislocation. I thought I was finally going to get the help I need, nope. After meeting with the PA post MRI I’m told to do more of the physical therapy that never helped at all. Then a final meeting with the doctor a month later where he couldn’t have been more condescending if he tried, he suddenly decided nothing was wrong with my shoulder despite mri evidence, and he referred me out to pain management. Pain management is also a joke because they’ll do anything but manage your pain and their current solution is to send me back to the same physical therapy that doesn’t work and exacerbates the problem when I probably could have had a surgery and been recovered by now, but instead I get to suffer daily due to a lack of options.

Exceptional Care by Dr. Raphael and His Team
Dr. Raphael is an Exceptional Doctor. He listened to my concerns and explained what was going on and why I was in so much with my left shoulder. He was very patient, courteous, and friendly. He ordered x-rays and diagnosed me, and gave me a cortisone shot, a prescription, and a referral for PT. I'm so glad that I decided to go to the Doctor. Thank you

At SOS, the whole staff is amazing. They are courteous, compassionate, knowledgeable, and efficient. Dr. Raphael took his time to explain what was wrong with my knee, and which course of action would most beneficial. PT was suggested for a few visits with continuation of exercises at home. Several years ago he did my shoulder surgery. Great results and the follow up was wonderful. Highly recommend SOS

Amazing care by Dr. Raphael and the whole SOS team
Great care by Dr. Raphael and his team from the first post-injury visit a year ago (decided not to get ACL reconstruction at that time - it would have been #3 for the same knee) through physio and follow up visits. Finally decided in February to have the surgery which happened yesterday. Least pain of any of them! And I've been in the best shape post operation (24 hours later). Everyone was professional, friendly, and considerate. Highly recommend SOS and Dr. Raphael.
