Dr. Bradley Blankenship, MD

Blankenship’s office scheduled what they called “a six month checkup” for my 91 year old dad. My dad prepared a short list of things that were bothering him. Blankenship came in the room and complained that he couldn’t find my father’s charts on the computer and said nothing else. He took my dad’s blood pressure, listened to his lungs, heart. My dad started to explain the items on the list and Blankenship got very irritated and very rude. He said he didn’t have time to talk about the items on the list and would not. I told him this was supposed to be a 6 month checkup and why were we there if not to talk about my dad’s health. He said he was only going to check my dad’s blood pressure. He said he would walk us out, but instead ran off. He did something similar last year, but we thought we would give him another chance. We will never see him again and I hope people see this review and decide to pass on him. He has nothing to contribute to the medical field or patients.

Perhaps at one point he was good and I sure hope he doesn't treat all of hus patients the way my 79 year old father was treated. I found him arrogant and rude, and not concerned at all for his patient. My father needed a chest x ray and antibiotics which were repeatedly requested by my mom who is an RN and denied by Blankenship, even though my father was seen for a persistent worsening cough. His diagnosis was 'allergies' even though my father has no history of allergies. Not surprisingly my father got worst since allergies was not the problem. And was hospitalized for a serious lung infection as well as a surgical procedure that could have been avoided! Now he is in much worst shape then he would have been had the dr did what was necessary and much needed. Antibiotics and a chest x-ray early on when requested. In my opinion he is not a good dr and needs to retire.

I recently changed insurance plans and my former PCP doesn’t contract with new insurance. I selected Dr.Blakenship as my new PCP based on the good reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was quite the opposite. Dr. Blakenship left a terrible first impression on me. He didn’t want to hear about my medical history, when I attempted to inform him I had recently been to urgent care and ER for an acute condition he replied “ what were they going to do for you?” When I mentioned I had imaging done too. His response was “ and who ordered that ?” His tone sounded as if he was irritated and very condescending! During his 8 minute visit with me he demonstrated a pompous demeanor. He never asked me to describe my level of pain, he mumbled some responses to my questions. When I requested labs (blood work)due to recent changes in my health he dismissed my request rather, told me to make another appointment for a wellness exam. Physicians should have bedside manners , empathy and compassion !!!

I called at 8am and they were able to get me in to se Dr Blankenship at noon. He examined me and determined I had a sinus infection and prescribed me antibiotics. I am grateful that they were able to help me so quickly

My visit today with Dr. Blankenship was terrible. Right at the beginning he entered the room and questioned why I bothered to come in. I should have spoken up then but I didn’t. I explained my illness and he confirmed my illness; however, he was rude, condescending and dismissive. When I asked follow up questions about my medical condition the doctor’s responses were one worded answers and other responses were, “I don’t know” and “I guess, I really couldn’t tell you.” The doctor did not take me serious and was rushing through my appointment. He mostly stood by the doorway giving a body signal that he wanted to leave. I felt rushed and tried asking all the questions I could think of, but he never once offered me advice or asked if I had any questions or concerns. When I asked for a doctor’s note for work, he responded, “Uhh, maybe.” I was made to feel ashamed and punished for seeking medical attention and service. The doctor was completely unprofessional, rude and dismissive.

Wait time short, staff friendly and professional

Dr. Blankenship is highly competent, professional and compassionate. He has a nice bedside manner and never makes his patients feel rushed. I have been his patient for many years and would recommend him without reservation.

We love our doctor. Dr Blankenship is a great doctor. He has done so much for me that has changed my life for the better. Always so happy to see him.

Dr. Blankenship was courteous and thorough. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. Overall a good experience.

Just yearly exam

Left hip pain.

My husband and I just had our initial appointment with Dr. Blankenship and after our appointments looked at each other and said, "Nope." We have serious health issues, such as Multiple Sclerosis, etc. and yet he didn't ask anything about it. Wasn't interested in my medical history and the important eye surgery I need to have. I could not recommend him to anyone. Very disappointing because now we have to find another doctor and wait to get another appointment. If he's not interested in his patients, perhaps he should retire?
