Thorough examination; diagnosed challenging issues
She peeled back the layers of my issue one by one and addressed them all (some herself, some by referral). Appreciated her intelligence, listening skills and treating me when I was very ill. Now in a much better place.

Expertise in managing vertigo
Dr. McNulty has experience dealing with symptoms of dizziness and loss of balance. I was diagnosed ten years ago with vertigo and continue to have issues so ended up referred to her office. I am very impressed with her expertise and would highly recommend.

Condescending, unhelpful, and rude.
After waiting months for an appointment, Dr. McNulty spent less than 5 minutes in the room to only make derogatory, pompous, and unhelpful statements. She questioned previous diagnoses with documented, confirmatory testing in my chart. She even questioned my symptoms and insinuated I was fabricating my experience. Not only was this appointment a waste of time, it was a terrible experience with a healthcare provider who should take a few interpersonal communication lessons to not offend patients with legitimate pain and concerns. While the procedure or medical treatment I receive elsewhere may be the same, it will at least be done with compassion and less egotistical tendencies.

Not all she is cracked up to be!!!!!
My visit wasn’t initially planned to be with her and I honestly wished that it wouldn’t have been! I have never in my life been talked down to the way she did me! First she didn’t want to hear anything I had to say and kept cutting me off when I talked. Not to mention her asking can I not financially afford to fix my teeth!!!! Well tbh if she would have stepped off her pedestal and get to know someone then she would have knew that I was in a domestic violence relationship and that took a toll on me in more than one way! She was absolutely rude and condescending! I shall not ever return and that is really sad because her partner saved my life 10 years ago! Do better or leave your field of employment!!!!!

Great, if you fit in the box
Dr McNulty put me through a battery of tests for possible Ménière’s m, all of which came back as normal except one. Which the result came back absent, she could not explain that result. Did. It order a second test that would be a follow up to the absent result, just sent me on my way saying “If I thought you had Ménière’s I would put you on a water pill but since I do not so I won’t put you on one.” I left her office with a recommendation to modify my diet, which I already had done. I pursued it myself with my primary care doctor and started in a water pill, wouldn’t you know, my symptoms got better. Not all patients fit in her box.

Life Changing Care
I came to see Dr. McNulty after exhausting local ENTs who told me that I would have to live with my tinnitus, dizziness/vertigo and hearing loss. There was nothing to help me except hearing aids that were no longer helping. After pushing, my local doctor sent me to see Dr. McNulty at UK HealthCare. From that first visit, I knew that she CARED about me and cared about making sure I could hear and get my life back. As a teacher, it's very difficult to keep teaching with hearing loss and debilitating tinnitus. She ran tests and did treatments no one else had even offered. At the end of the day, Dr. McNulty and the amazing team at UK HealthCare ENT approved me for a cochlear implant. The surgery was easy and the results have been life-changing. I am only 3 months since turning on my implant and my hearing test results are nearly perfect with the implant. If you are in Kentucky with problems like mine, RUN, don't walk--go see Dr. McNulty and her team It will change your life.

I dearly love Dr. McNulty! She is genuinely one of the sweetest doctors that I have ever met and I have certainly met more than my share. I have a somewhat rare ear problem that must be maintained every few months and is usually a quite painful ordeal, but she does her best not to hurt me more than necessary, and I think it hurts her almost as much just having to do it. It probably sounds horrid, but believe me, she gets 5 stars from me! I have seen many others who almost appear to take pleasure in how much pain they cause you, so I am glad I was referred to her. I trust what she says and she's very thorough in her diagnoses and goes through your imaging with you in detail. It does take a while to get in with these types of specialists, because they are few and far between, and the good ones are always booked!

I went to Dr. McNulty for an ear infection (my first) that persisted for several months. She performed a procedure right in her office to drain the fluid, and I could hear again by the same evening. She is completely steady with her hands, talked me through the procedure and it did not hurt at all (I compared it later to a simple procedure at the dentist, just a different area). She is knowlegable, friendly and confident (as she should be). Excellent physician and I will be staying with her.

I cannot say enough great things about Dr. McNulty. She was quick to diagnosis a very serious issue that multiple ENT's had miss diagnosed previously. She was equally as fast in defining a treatment plan and resolution. Easily one of the most caring and genuine physician's that I have ever been around. I always felt like I was in good hands with her, even in difficult situations. Her staff is equally as impressive. My only complaint is the wait time to get an urgent appointment.

My Mom had a very serious and life threatening ear infection. Dr. McNulty was quick to find and set in motion the best course of treatment, and she was very dedicated to seeing my Mom get well. She continues to be diligent in monitoring my Mom's progress in recovery. She is very kind, with a caring demeanor which provides a feeling of comfort to the patient. Very professional, and diligent with follow up care. I would highly recommend her.

My wife is a PT of Dr. McNulty and I've been to just about every appt. with her. I work in the medical field in a pre-hospital environment and go into many medical facilities and meet numerous health care providers and physicians from every background and exp. level and I can tell you from experience she's a good one! She's competent, caring and thorough and when you combine that with a down to earth demeanor you get a fantastic all around physician! She deserves 5 stars and your confidence.
