Awful
I would never recommend this place to anyone! This is supposed to be a place of healing. And this is the most unfriendly unprofessional rude Staff I have ever come across in any of the hundreds of appointments I go to. I came in today as a new patient, and yes, I was 20 minutes late. But their address took me somewhere that was 20 minutes away. And it must be a known issue because they even have on their paperwork that I saw later, if you’re using navigation use this address. Anyway, I called at five of and they told me they wouldn’t be able to see me and I’ll have to pay a $75 late fee. So I tried my best to rush over there. I still ended up being 15 minutes late after waiting in the office for 15 minutes, they told me I cannot be seen and I’ll have to pay the $75 late fee if I want to reschedule. What a disgrace this is! I had to wait there for 15 minutes because the doctor was still with the client. She was saying before me so she wasn’t even on time for my appointment!

expert physician
I have been a patient for 4 years. Dr. Birnbaum is an expert in the care of my disease and is a wonderful advocate for me as I navigate a very challenging and complicated diagnosis and plan of care across multiple specialties. She is accessible and her communication is excellent and timely. Her staff is responsive, professional and efficient.

Best doctor you will find.
I am a patient of Dr. Birnbaum since 2010 when I was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune condition. She is the most knowledgeable and caring doctor that I have met. She listens to my issues, regardless of how serious or how minor they might be and takes them seriously with a 'let's find a solution approach'. My other doctors are also extremely impressed with the level of care I been receiving from Dr. Birnbaum. I feel so grateful to be under her care and hope she knows how much I appreciate her.

I was a patient of Birnbaum for just over one year. It was a disaster from day one. She does not listen -- interrupts -- and acts like she is brilliant and you are stupid. Terrible terrible interaction. BEWARE.

I love Dr. Birnbaum. She is very thorough, spends plenty of time with you and I never feel rushed through my appointment. Explains things so you can understand. She confers with my Primary & Pulmonologist and they speak very highly of her care for me. Office staff has been pleasant and easy to work with. When I was sick she’d return my calls and never made me feel as though I was bothersome. She is my Rock Star!

Hands down the most unprofessional doctor I have ever experienced. Spent almost the entire appointment going over how she didn’t treat my condition and then tried to put prescribing the medication I needed on my other physicians. Will not be returning to her practice ever. Patients beware.

Awful most uncaring doctor I have ever been too. Does not return phone calls or emails the staff sends to her. She is part time so don’t expect to hear back from unless it is one of the few days she works. She cancels appointments all the time. She should review the Hippocratic Oath.

I was a patient of Dr. Birnbaum. I loved her. She was professional, but also she was caring. I was told she no longer practiced at PenMed. Does anyone know where she is presently practicing? GB
