I love Dr Rao she did my sleeve April 20 2013 at Memorial Hospital Jacksonville FL I even was able to become pregnant soon after and had boy girl twins which are now 8 yrs. And Happy to announce I now live in Baltimore and am engaged and my start weight 351lbs today is 136lbs love love love this woman

Dr. Rao is the best physician that I’ve ever had. She listens! She asks questions and listens! She makes sure before leaving that her patient fully understands what is need and how to solve the need. She is caring, loving, and has a great sense of humor. These are just generalities. I could be more specific, but it would take more than the space provides. She already knows that I appreciate what she did for me. I love her and wish her well.

She performed major Bariatric Surgery on my Wife (Hiatal Hernia) and performed the "Perfect" Surgery if there is one. It has been almost 2 months as I wanted to wait to see how my Wife heals. NO MORE HEARTBURN! She is genuinely cured. Dr. Rao is really 5 Stars and we would give her 6 Stars if we could. Best in class for her magic hands, state of the art robotic surgery, bedside manor and she spends as much time with you as necessary. Thank you Dr. Rao for all you do!

Dr. Rao never had my dad as a patient but when he was admitted to sarasota memorial hospital on a Saturday (yesterday) with severe abdominal pain due to intestinal blockage she acted quickly!! She did not hesitate to get him on the operating table around midnight to give my dad the best chances of a good outcome. Immediately following surgery she communicated with me how well the surgery went. My dad was very lucky she was part of the team at SMH. If he had to wait til after the weekend or had it not been Dr. Rao stepping into action the outcome may have been quite different. God certainly sent my dad an angel. Thank you so much for all that you do!!

Dr. Rao cares for her patients. She takes time to talk directly to the patient. When I had a complication on a Saturday morning, she replied to my text within 15 minutes! She is the BEST!

After attending consultation with Dr. RAO I decided to have gastric bypass surgery based on my numbers I would have the most success with this as of today I am 170 pounds down I am 54 years old she is the most compassionate Dr that in my lifetime I’ve seen and I’ve seen a lot of doctors her bedside manner could be the gold standard. Other doctors should learn from her how to treat people .She truly cares about the health and welfare of her patients goes above and beyond the call of duty any and every time I needed her she was just a call away And I literally mean a phone call and she’s the one calling you .That’s how committed she is to her patience Health and well-being and success In there journey. I don't know how anyone can say anything negative about Dr. Rao. She not only has actual bedside manners , something hard to find in most doctors, but she truly cares about your well being. I stumbled upon her with a life threatening issue that seemingly was getting overlooked even by Shands hospital which supposedly has such a great rate. I thank God that she took my case and was able to help me and in all honesty saved my life. She is a sweetheart and truly blessed with her talents. If it weren't for her I would not be here today and able to say thank you to her and her staff. I highly recommend her for a surgeon and not that I would want to, but if I had to go back for something I would most definitely request her .

I recommend Dr Rao 100% for anyone considering weight loss surgery. She preformed my RNY gastric bypass and in one week I felt so good as if I never had surgery preformed. She and her entire staff made the entire process a good one from start to finish. One thing she told me from early on that rings true...”You’ll kick yourself for not doing it sooner”. She was right.

Very bad experience with office and staff. Facilities were dirty and doctor and staff was rushed. Also I had to wait for over an hour!
