She was part of my medical team and she just called my md and quit. Did not even say goodbye after 32 years just left. Don’t trust her or the dept of psychiatry.

Dr. Emmerich is a very sympathetic and knowledgeable psychiatrist. She talked to me about all the things that were going on with me and went over all the possible medications for treatment, answered all my questions carefully. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anybody who needs psychiatric help.

Sounds like "Cathy" is Dr. Emmerich herself. I cannot agree more with the first review. I am just glad there are people out there that had similar experiences with that wacko and liar and actually chose to voice it. She will make you believe you are the crazy one at your most vulnerable. Dont let her convince you to stay with her. A star rating was required to leave this review but l would not recommend her to anyone. The sad truth is that many drs and therapists at mgh and other hospitals behave similarly and have been there for too long to be removed. They all cover for each other too. It is never about the patient, it is only about the revenue and covering their own butts.

I have only good things to say about my experiences with Dr. Emmerich. I've been her patient for a few years. Dr. E. is my psychopharmacist. I am not an easy patient, because I am not good at describing my symptoms. However, when I was going through a mental breakdown, Dr. E was there for me. She worked above and beyond her duties to help me navigate difficulties I was having at my job. Dr. E. is VERY kind and knowledgeable. One is in good hands with Dr. E. She is beyond Excellent!!!
