Misdiagnosed two injuries
Her nurse was fantastic. But despite a wealth of documentation of traumatic injuries and diagnosed, including yhose listed in MyChart, staff and she overlooked them. She was rushed and aloof. Her own staff said she didn't specialize foot injuries, one of the reasons I was there, but that's the appointment the Cleveland Clinic referred me to take. I repeatedly explained to her nurse and staff - and and it's listed in MyChart - that the pain in my left knee and right foot were the result of trauma injuries to the knee and the foot. For some unknown reason "reason for visit" was misattributed to "chronic pain" instead of "traumatic injury" to my foot and knee, resulting in complete misdiagnoses - verified by several physicians at two other hospital organizations who concurred with each other and provided the DME and relstive care necessary to stabilize the injuries that her office did not. This is the fifth time the Cleveland Clinic orthopedic office has misdiagnosed - and the last.

I waited over an hour for a scheduled appointment. Nothing was explained to me. No treatment plan was discussed. I wish I had cancelled the appointment and selected a different doctor. I feel that nothing was accomplished.

I found Dr. Ciccarelli compassionate to my needs and I felt like she was listening and truly felt like she wanted to help me. We ended up having shoulder surgery in November 2019 I ended up back in her office in December due to an injury where I do not believe she believed nor do I believe she listenEd to anything I had to say whether it was the pain or the injury itself. I went back home (IL) and saw two doctors while I was there both of which gave me a diagnosis of frozen shoulder which needs to be repaired surgically but due to the Covid virus we cannot do it this time. I came back to OH To “televisit” with her and she told me to find another surgeon and if they could come up with a diagnosis (She again does not believe anything is wrong) then fax her office to let them know what was going on. I Believe her mind was made up before I even called. She may be a good Dr but it takes compassion and caring to be GREAT - Somethings she is not! (IMHO)
