I had extreme pain for weeks and was referred by minor emergency clinic. She was very rude during the entire visit. As I sat crouched in pain she said I had bad posture. No anti inflammatory meds worked and she said no real pain meds period. She wanted me to get an X-ray but I had to go somewhere else to get it. X-ray was a waste of time and money. She said it didn’t show anything other than old injury. Gave steroid pills with no results then finally a cortisone shot worked. No diagnosis or plan. Sent me home with an antidepressant and MRI recommendation. I can’t afford that test. I’m self employed but this idiot gave me a release from work after I told her I hadn’t been able to work for 3 weeks. There were biohazard bags with urine all over reception counter. They care about money not people. Be cautious of clinics with commercials . If you’re greedy or no good you’ll need advertising to attract victims. Pain requires qualified empathetic pros. She was worst in my life. BEWARE!!

Spent less than 10 min with me during a first visit after my old PM doctor of 2+ years retired. Didn't take a history, didn't ask how my pain was, told me she could keep giving me pain meds if she could "justify" it through expensive tests (that they already had in my records). She just wanted to write the prescription and be done. Had no interest in getting me out of pain or actually treating me. She was also very rude and dismissive. She argued with me over when my last surgery was when they had the dates wrong, until she finally pulled up the correct info. Like I had something to gain by lying about that. Needless to say my GP was not happy and I will not be returning to this Pain Management Clinic.

My current practice merged with Capitol Pain. First visit, reviewed my chart for less than 5 min, did not examine me & decreased my pain med dose which managed my pain adequately for over 20 years. No questions about my pain (related to past cancer surgery) no questions asked at all. Poor bedside manner. Choose a doc that examines you, takes a medical history & asks questions.

There are far better doctors to choose from in Austin. I wouldn't recommend Dr. Desi to my worst enemy.

Rude doctor who was very impartial and unhelpful to me. Although she didn't know me at all, she accused me in a way I've never had any doctor or person treat me. She has never treated me, but was sent to try to discredit me because I had to leave Capitol Pain due to the severe need for a neck and back operation of which they denied me. Today I am better because I've had my neck fusion for 4 discs and back for 2 discs. They denied me needed help.

Is not straight forward. I had to suggest different studies to be done along with a plan of action. Had I not researched my condition prior to visit, I would not have a plan of action. That's sad because her first MR training is as a Phyciatrist and rehabilitation. Seems as thought she doesn't want to look at the big picture. I believe it's imperative to look at the whole.

Dr. Desai is such a beautiful woman-her personal care and grooming attest to her understanding of self-image,self-care, and dignity, reflected in her attitude toward me as her patient. Consistently attentive and thorough, I feel heard, understood, & confident in her professional care and ability in my ongoing treatment. She has excellent eye contact, listening skills, is easy to visit with; I feel understood as an individual person, not only a "patient". Such a delightful asset to your clinic!

I have always known Dr. Desai to be a very dedicated, kind, smart and special doctor. She's seems to be very genuine in her care for her patients and does her best to alleviate the pain and discomforts of her patients. It's wonderful to have great women doctors in the field of pain due to their ability to understand women in many respects because she can relate. I look forward to her having her own practice one day.

She is the Best Medical Professional I met in my 31 years on this earth. I don't know where to Start, She Cares, like really cares about her patients. SHE WAS AVAILABLE To HELP AND CALL IN A PRESCRIBTION ON THNKSGIVING DAY. I trust her with my health and will take her advice and recommendations without blinking an eye. I know i am going to be following her wherever her practice is and I am willing to fly to her office because I trust her and believe she cares deeply about her patients.
