Dr Runkle was our Doctor for 18 years. Having to find a new doctor after spending nearly two decades with the best doctor that I have ever met was extremely difficult. Dr. Runkle is a kind, caring person who takes time with every patient. He is incredibly thorough and detailed in his patient care. I believe you only come across a doctor like him, once in a lifetime. We love him and miss him very much.

Dr. Runkle has been my Primary Care Dr for 16 years now, and he’s one of the most efficient and caring doctors I’ve ever known !!! He constantly researches everything to do with medicine - diseases, cures, insurance plans and how to deal with them, and all he can find to help his patients. He teaches, he’s writing a medical history book on NC, and he takes care of his patients. He has a beautiful Family and loves our mountains. A great Dr for anyone.
