Dr. Andrew Lepinski, MD

I really appreciated Dr. Lepinski. He listens and doesn't make you feel like you are taking up his time. He is a great doctor and treated my kidney stones.

Dr. Lepinski is a no BS kind of doc. He studies your case and health history, asks clear questions and then shares his direction in your treatment. He hears out your input and then a mutual plan is drawn and followed.

I love Dr. Lepinski. He is genuine concerned about his patients. He answers all questions and does not make you feel like is rushing out the room. He performed my radical cystectomy 10 years ago. All doctors who have seen my stoma remarks how good it looks. Unfortunately we moved right after my surgery and had to find another doctor. Dr Lepinski referred me to a wonderful doctor in Missouri at University Hospital. If not for us moving I would still be seeing Dr. Lepinski. I recommend him highly if you are in the Lincoln, Nebraska area. Dr. Lepinski saved my life. If not for him I would not be here.

I thought, on my several occasions, that Dr Lepinski was perfectly warm and paying attention. His partnership in Urology PC has provided him top staff and equipment, including on-site X-Ray and CT scanners with seasoned operators, all in a modern, clean facility. Yes, we often get handled by his PA, who, however is tops and can call him as/if needed. Waiting room is large, usually busy, cheerful, and overrun with reading materials.

I moved to Nebraska and had to find a new doctor. They sent me to this man. I told him repeatedly that I had hydronephrosis in my right kidney. He decided that I couldn’t be in pain because of this. He did a cystoscope with me awake which I have never had done that way. Most places put you to sleep and it hurt so bad that I was crying. He then proceeded to tell me that in all his 33 years he has never seen a patient who hurt from this or from my kidney disease and that he didn’t believe me.

Dr. Lepinski, a rather reserved person, is a very competent and professional physician but usually you spend most (occasionally all) time with a PA. Urology PC, a monopoly of urologists in Lincoln, is an intensely bureaucratic, patient unfriendly, people-processing medical factory. While Dr. Lipinski certainly gives proper care, the environment in which he works is most unpleasant - one is treated better by the airlines. A monopoly doesn't have to care about you. If able, go to Omaha.

Dr. Lepinski is an excellent surgeon but his bedside manner leaves something to be desired. After telling me I had stage 2 prostate cancer (following my prostate surgery), he seemed resigned and negative about my situation. He cut my consultation short because (he said) he was behind and needed to meet with another client. I was shocked and upset with the tenor of our meeting.
