One of the worst doctors ever
Dr. Amy Siegel does not listen and does not care. ARC Far West is getting worse and worse, but this 'doctor' tops the list for utterly failing. Do not go to her if you value your health.

No Compassion
I had a very disappointing visit to Dr. Siegel. From the moment she entered, the interaction was unprofessional. Dr. SiegelLoudly demanded that I wear a mask (which I had no problem with). She did not greet me or introduce herself. Her overall communication was harsh and lacked any form of compassion. She was fixated on the fact that I probably had Covid or flu (both negative for) and showed no concern in the fact I was having trouble breathing. Most concerning was the lack of medical assessment I received. I visited with serious symptoms she brushed them off like it was nothing. She barely even assessed me (just listened to one lung & checked my calves). I was visiting for respiratory symptoms and no one even counted how fast I was breathing. I had to advocate for her to order a chest X-ray and a CBC. Despite have textbook pneumonia symptoms. My chest X-ray showed a pneumonia… she prescribed antibiotics. Later that day I had to go see another doctor for trouble breathing the doc

Disappointing as a PCP
I would not recommend Dr. Siegel as a PCP to anyone, especially if they have any sort of health issues. She does the bare minimum required, is incredibly impersonal and uncaring, and acts as if you should know what to do for your ailments. I have been thoroughly disappointed with my experience with her, but not ARC in general. I have had other very positive experiences there.

Cold, no people skills and dismissive is what you will get from her. She does not give you any time to discuss your problems/ailments and acts like you are a burden to her. Not surprisingly she is easy to get an appointment with because she has probably driven away so previous patients. Her nurse called me twice to come in earlier for a Friday appointment so Siegel could leave. I actually feel sorry for the nurse that works with her. I have no idea why Siegel ever chose to enter a profession that she is clearly unfit for. The nerve of her in this day and age. Pathetic.

I found her to be very dismissive of my concerns. She made a couple of comments that seemed insensitive and out of line. I left the appointment very disheartened and feeling offended.

Does the Bare Minimum
Adequate. But not much more. Poor communication. Stingy with information. Wrote innacurate session notes. I do not want to go back to her.

Very disappointing. Cold natured, uncaring. Priorities skewed. Hoping for a woman’s warm approach to the health challenges I have. Blunt questions, no general attitude of how may I help you. Assertions about some areas of my health that are, per available research and my known family experience, incorrect. Cannot recommend this physician unless you want a quick, curt sign off for work form or something of that sort. Left in frustration and tears. The world needs more compassion not less.

I had a black eye due to a fall, hitting my forehead. Dr. Siegel examined me and carefully explained to my wife and me that the pooling of blood under my eye was not serious and that the hit caused no brain injury, and no damage to the eye itself. 8 stars on a 5 point scale!

Dr. Amy B. Siegel is a very personable Doctor. I nicknamed her "Vermont". She is now my personal Dr. @ ARC Internal Medicine located@ Austin Regional Clinic in Austin,Texas. Vermont is a very thorough Dr. & makes sure to cover your entire healthcare in every way. She's been my Dr. now for over two years. She followed my blood pressure, which was running high, made a suggestion to add a new prescription for me, which proved to be health changing! You can count on her to help improve yr health!
