Dr. Amy Farmer, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Farmer’s for many, many years. I have respected her and had confidence in her as a doctor, but today her office was unrecognizable in its operation. When I checked in, the receptionist, who had called me herself to confirm my appointment, told me that my appointment was cancelled. She could not explain it and offered no apology. She, as well as the scheduler, were condescending, rude, and intimidating. The front people are responsible for the tone and efficiency of every office. This office staff offered no semblance of welcoming or warmth. These two individuals greatly need a Class in Courtesy. Amy Farmer Dermatology will likely have many patient openings if Dr. Farmer doesn’t raise her expectations. It’s extremely disappointing!

Dr. Farmer is an amazing doctor. She is kind, compassionate, and effective. She finds out what is really going on with you and then takes care of you to the fullest extent.

I am a 71 year old retired coach with fair skin and light hair. I have seen another dermatologist for years. Last year I switched to Dr. Amy Farmer because of concerns regarding skin cancer. She is the most through doctor I have seen. She explains, treats, etc. with kindness and compassion. If she is unable to take care of a problem she sends me to a great Mose/melanoma doctor for removal and further care. I am truly blessed to have such great doctors taking care of me. Very professional....office staff is so nice and inviting.

I’ve seen over 20 dermatologists for a chronic condition on my feet. Dr Farmer is the best dermatologist I’ve ever been to and the ONLY dr to ever help bring me any relief in treating my condition in over 12 years. The staff is great and the nurses are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. No better dermatologist in our area, including Houston Med center. I went to Univ of Indiana, Baylor and UTMB where I had testing etc but they only made my condition worse.??

I almost never give reviews but I feel I should let others know how great Dr Farmer is. She has helped me with several different issues, answered all of my questions. I am a retired teacher ( not wealthy) and she is always respectful of my finances when prescribing medications. I have never had to wait too long compared to other doctors. Her office is so beautiful I feel like I'm at a spa so even if I were to have a long wait it would be enjoyable. The overall experience with Dr Farmer is great!

I saw Dr. Farmer for the first time. She was so kind and thorough. She answered all my questions and spent a lot of time educating me on things specific to my health. Her staff was also kind and helpful. One of the best doctor's office I've been to since moving to Texas!

Over the past 8 years I have seen 14 other Dermotologist in the Houston area , who for whatever reason would not solve my problem. In 2 visits Dr. Farmer and her staff had not only discovered the problem, but were solving it, finally giving me relief after 8 years. She and her staff will help you!
