She’s attentive to my needs, called me personally about a medication change, and very empathetic to my well-being.

My first visit with Dr Thakkar was a year ago after my former rheumatologist made a treatment decision that negativly affected my health-adverse reactions-and could have been dangerous. Dr Thakkar was recommended by my PCP for which I’m grateful! As a retired nurse my expectations are high and were exceeded by Dr Thakkar . She listens while maintaining eye contact, responds with her concerns and recommends a plan of treatment with very clear expectations for results, timeframe and follow-up. Her thoroughness, kindness and intuitiveness are paired with a beautiful demeanor so that I feel safe and optimistic in her care.

Flippant, unhelpful, dismissive, and flat out rude on my first trip. My other rheumatologist retired however his medication regimen I’ve been on for five years was completely ignored. She basically told me I could live with my pain or go to pain management which I do not want to do any have to go weekly or monthly only to get hooked on narcotics l. I asked to switch to Dr. Reddy in Sandy Springs(also part of Laureate). I was supposed to be sent a form to switch but didn’t receive. I called back to see why I haven’t received it, only to be told Dr. Reddy doesn’t take transfers. What??? I saw Dr. Thakkar once, and it was almost the worst doctor experience of my life. My skin was crawling afterwards. I have osteoarthritis is my neck and down my spine plus fibromyalgia, kidney disease, and epilepsy. I need help! I was connected last week to the manager, Rochelle. I never received a call back. I was at my dentist near the Sandy Springs location, so I am sitting in their parking lot waiting

First time I met her she didn’t examine me. I have lupus. Dismissive of my joint problems relating them all to aging and not lupus. Seemed disinterested and bored. Didn’t offer realistic solutions for my joint pain even though some joints have gotten worse. Severe pain in some areas with no further investigation. Seems annoyed if I ask questions.

I was very disappointed. I went to get help and suggestions for my osteoarthritis. She told me she really only does auto immune which means Rheumatoid arthritis. I asked about exercise, etc., and was told physical therapy was my best option and they would tell me what exercises I could do. I also asked about some treatments I had learned about and she had no information. So, I totally wasted my time.

Dr. Thakkar is very attentive and patient. She explains everything and welcomes questions. Her calm demeanor puts me at ease.

Dr. Thakkar was awesome when she was in Munster, In. She was extremely attentive to my pains I was having and drew fluid out of my wrist to diagnose my condition correctly. She listened to me and was extremely helpful.. I am trying to find someone as good now that she has left the area.. She's a good one, she tells it like it is and doesn't sugar coat anything, just how I liked it.

Dr. Thakkar has been caring for my daughter for over a year and her level of care sets the bar high. She is meticulous and caring. I am so grateful for her attentiveness and just don’t worry about my girl..Dr. Thakkar takes such good care of her...24/7...so grateful for her and Laureate!!! Highly recommend

Terrible! I went there with a handful of problems and saw several doctors which led me to her. On my follow up visit after my second round of bloodwork, she said 'to toughen up' and 'there is nothing wrong'. Questions were met with sarcasm and crass! Finally went to Mayo Clinic a week later and was diagnosed with Lupus. I even brought the labs from her office and they were astounded by her lack of proper diagnosis! Arrogant, poor listener and very rude! Go somewhere else.

I wish I could give zero stars. She has horrible bedside manner and doesn't listen to your concerns. Very arrogant!

I have been seeing Dr. Thakkar for about 3yrs, and I can honestly say that she has been the most kind, most caring and patient doctor that I have ever seen. She really takes her time to make sure that all of my questions and concerns are taking care of with each visit. If I have questions between visits, her staff is always very quick to get back to me with an answer from Dr. Thakker. She doesn't overbook her patients and I rarely have to wait more than 10-15 minutes to see her.

Dr Thanker took her time with me. Asked me a few times if I had any questions. She made sure I had an appointment for a biopsy she wanted done asap. I like her, she seems like a very good and caring doctor.
