Dr. Amber Holt, DO

We met Dr. Holt in the ER when my daughter was sick with her gallbladder. We were told by the ER doc that she would need surgery right away, which we were not expecting to hear. My daughter was nervous (never had surgery before!). But Dr. Holt met us in the ER and put our minds at ease when she explained what was going on and what she would do to fix it. After surgery we were allowed to go home, and she even called the next day to check up on me and my daughter! Follow up in her office was easy -- she and her staff were so kind. My daughter has been doing great and I have sent my other family members to her for various problems since then and they all have the same opinion!

I was told by the very friendly and helpful staff in the clinic that Dr. Holt is good BUT to stay on her good side. For some reason, she never liked me to begin with and took out her frustrations out on me during my second appointment with her. I went through the clinic for several months trying to lose weight and was still struggling. Dr Holt said that my small weight loss was ridiculous, she thought it was “cute” that my cardiologists didn’t do what she thought they should do, she brings HER A game every day but I wasn’t trying (huge lie), and I should continue to barely eat anything while I paid to see her. I was told by the clinic that was surgery ready but she said she never said anything about that. There’s no communication between the two. I was clearly upset and she saw that as a chance to yell at me and completely bully me. I should’ve walked out. Good luck if you choose to see her. I’m reporting her. The manager was absolutely no help.

Defeated experience all around. She even shamed my husband at an appointment. Her post op report lists she cut me in a place she never cut. Late appointments and her staff offers cookies… at a bariatric clinic. Google will share info. She left stitches in that should have been removed. Was bullied. Shamed. She was annoyed I didn’t use an app to track vs. paper. I couldn’t do anything correct. I went elsewhere nearby and had an amazing experience. Colquitt required by whole out of pocket paid up front. Took 2 months to get my refund and I was pushing it. Hospital I used instead… $58 up front. No program fee either.

She was awesome. Took time out of her day to check on me personally by phone. Very attentative. Love her!
