Very Poor Staff
If you can get past the terrible staff, Dr Abbas was very pleasant the first time I met him. However, his scheduler Jazmin, scheduled me after my visit for an upper endoscopy. Wrote my time, and instructions on a piece of paper for me. A week before the procedure, I get a call to schedule another upper endoscopy. When I called back, they stated I was not scheduled. The office staff does not return phone calls, then are very rude and sarcastic. My experience was a nightmare. Good luck with life long follow ups.

Highly recommend Dr. Abbas! He performed my bariatric surgery in November 2021 & my recovery went smoothly overall. I’ve had great success so far with weight loss thanks to frequent follow up appointments with Dr. Abbas & his staff along with my diet & exercise. He is very supportive to his patients & makes himself available to them.

Dr. Abbas is an excellent doctor, he listens to your concerns and doesn't force one type of surgery on you. You can discuss the options and select the one for you and he is willing to accept your inputs. He is extremely knowledgeable and highly successful in the outcomes.

This was a follow up appointment and Dr. Abbas took the time to ask how I was doing with my health and dealing with the effects of the pandemic. At the end of the appointment we make a plan for the next appointment (what’s going to be done like labs and my goals) and asks if I have any other questions or concerns.

my visit with Dr. Abbas has changed my life. i have been dealing with hip pain for long long time. had hip surgery through another doctor. things didn't change. so he sent me to Dr. Abbas. we talked and i told him what was going on. he told me i can get that pain gone. i didn't know if he was just saying that to keep me calm or what. days leading to the surgery he got me ready and any questions i had he answered. day of surgery he did his magic. i have to say, after i got out of surgery i just started crying. i couldn't feel any pain from my hip. its been long 5 years and long road. couple weeks post-op i feel amazing. thanks to Taneka for always be nice and helping me get ready to the see doctor.. thank you again Dr. Abbas.

Three days ago I had bariatric surgery with Dr. Abbas. I have had virtually no pain (heartburn once, my pharmacy's fault for not giving me the already called in Rx). Everything was carefully explained AND given in writing. Dr. Abbas staff is very competent, considerate and helpful. The written materials given to me explain what I need to know to insure this surgery leads to my successful weight loss Igoal. This program is the absolute best, beginning with the seminar you must attend before entering the program through the meeting with dietitians to explain nutrition needs (also in writing) and all the specialist you must see to insure you are healthy for surgery before being approved. I am eternally grateful!

Yasssss!!!! I Love Dr. Abbas and his entire staff, they have always treated me with kindness and respect and he has the most amazing BEDSIDE MANNERS in any DOCTOR that you could ever, ever ask for! I was grateful and blessed to take this journey with his medical team at Memorial in Jacksonville. I became a patient of Dr. Abbas when I started this journey, and chapter of my life in October 2017 weighing well over 450+ pounds. Here I am 2 years later post-op and weighing in at 199 pounds. I am beyond grateful, blessed to say that I am truly half the person that I once was, all with absolutely NO COMPLICATIONS, and NO REVISIONS??

Dr. Abbas and another doctor completed a 5 hour surgery on me in April. He visited every day in the hospital, answered all questions from my wife and myself. Helen and Kirk, part of his team were amazing! My follow up appointments have been great and he is keeping up with my progress on each visit.

Dr. Abbas is a very competent and caring surgeon. Throughout my entire process I have had great confidence in him and his staff, as well as Memorial Hospital. I knew that going into my procedure that I may face complications and I was glad to have Dr. Abbas because he came highly recommended to me by his former patients and seeing the standard of care that he gave has proven why those recommendations were correct.
