Dr. Amar Miglani, MD

I have had sinus infections my whole life. I was up to at least 3 per year when I was referred to Dr. Miglani. In June of 2024 he performed sinus surgery on me. It is currently April 2025 and I have not had 1 single sinus infection since.Dr. Miglani is also a very nice guy with great bedside manner. He actually cares about his patients.

I've had chronic sinusitis for decades, with 1–2-week episodes, off and on, of no smell or taste. Nasal sprays were ineffective. The only remedy was taking the oral steroid prednisone. After discussing with Dr. Miglani my desire not to take oral steroids, he suggested I consider endoscopic sinus surgery. I decided to do it, and I can tell already it's changed my life to better. Dr. Miglani is an outstanding doctor, and I highly recommend him. From the moment his team admitted me, I was blown away with the genuine care and attention he and his team gave me. They all had a very positive and confident way about them that made my surgery a comfortable and smooth experience. If I knew all the names who attended me, I would name them, they were all that good. Also, Dr. Miglani is so precise in wanting my passages to be the best, he spotted and corrected a previous surgery that was done for another matter. Now that is the height of expertise and care.

Just wish I could give Dr. Miglani 10 Stars!Just over a month ago on January 24th, Dr. Miglani performed a Septoplasty for my deviated Septum with Turbinate reduction. After the surgery, Dr. Miglani said I also had some fully grown polyps along with years of Sinus build up which he also removed. He said it was good that I got in when I did. The surgery went extremely well and honestly the first couple days were the worst, more discomfort than pain from not being able to breath until the packing was removed. Only 5 weeks since my surgery and I can honestly say Dr. Miglani is now one of my heroes. I can breathe freely completely out of both nostrils with zero congestion. I cannot tell you how incredible the difference is from just a month ago.I cannot thank him and his team enough for how well they took care of me and how forever grateful to hm. After nearly three years of struggling with chronic sinusitis and seeking help from multiple ENTs in Scottsdale, Arizona, I finally found the doctor who changed my life—Dr. Amar Miglani. I have lived with head aches in my face, swollen eyes and face, pressure and pain. My sinuses constantly drained down the back of my throat and I had dry nasal drip in my nose, most of my life. I snored very loud every night. I am a scuba diver and would get pains in my forehead when I was diving. Dr Amar did a procedure on my sinuses and opened them up. This was life changing for me! No more face pain, pressure, swelling and drainage. The staff that works with Dr Amar are professional, helpful, and friendly. Dr Amar puts you at ease and does an amazing job. If you suffer from sinus issues it is 100% worth getting help from Dr Amar.

After a thorough evaluation, Dr. Miglani performed the procedure listed above. The result was outstanding, as I was able to regain my sense of smell and taste. I had virtually lost those senses for almost five years. Also, my ability to breathe and sleep improved significantly. All questions I submitted post-surgery via the portal, were answered promptly. Dr. Miglani is not only a highly skilled surgeon who performed a closure of septal perforation along with harvest of the temporalis fascia graft on me but he has also become a friend to me. He always explains that treatment he is going to do and what to expect. His is not only compassionate but also is very empathetic and takes the time to not only cover the medical issues but to also care for my feelings such as when I lost my wife of 54 years. That’s when his empathy and friendship really stood out. I have a very high degree of confidence in his ability as a surgeon as well as the friendship we have developed. I found Dr. Miglani after being refused care from another ENT surgeon who was unwilling to perform a second surgery to correct a nasal perforation that came from a failed first surgery. Having sleep apnea, his work has made all the difference in the world in my daily life and ability to sleep. If Dr. Miglani had not decided to become a specialist of specialists, focusing on perforations, I’m not sure what my sleep health would look like today. It takes bravery to take on a difficult technical problem others are unable or unwilling to tackle. After 3 years, my problem has not resurfaced. Not only did he solve my problem, but he is super personable. My time at Mayo has been hands down the best patient experience I have had and the most problem free. This is two fold: 1- Mayo has clearly done their research as their patient experience is locked tight. It’s perfect. 2- Second Dr. Miglani is clearly just good at what he does. Thank you!!
