Dr. Alfonso Preciado, MD

I was sent to an Oncologist to remove my Ovaries at St. Marks Hospital. During my appointment, the large Hiatal Hernia I had been dealing with, for several months was noticed. I had had test after test and although the Dr's agreed it was bad, they were getting nowhere. The Oncologist saw it and recommended Dr Preciado do a 2 in 1 surgery & both went well. 2 days later I returned to St. Marks in Renal Failure. Dr. Preciado visited EVERY day of my 2 week stay. My Kidneys are fine now! My Hiatal Hernia returned & again Dr. Preciado personally phoned me with answers to my questions and scheduled the test to confirm the Hiatal Hernia, which I am having done today. If it is confirmed, wonderful Doc Preciado is going to fit me in on Friday to repair it and then we are going to discuss what to do, or not do, to insure it will not need repairing again! I HIGHLY Recommend Dr. Preciado. You will be pleased you chose him, for whatever surgery you may need! Thank you, Niki Guzman??

I required urgent surgery and didn't have time to "shop around" to find a surgeon. I didn't even have time to ask friends for a good referral. But, I was SO GRATEFUL that it was Dr. Preciado who performed my surgery and oversaw my care. Even if I had time to plan and prepare my surgery, I would not have found a better surgeon. His compassionate bedside manner matches his clinical expertise, and his care extended beyond the hospital... as he called my husband daily while I was in the hospital and continued to call and check up on me after discharge. I highly recommend Dr. Preciado! FIVE STARS!!!

He is a very friendly and professional doctor. I like his bedside manor. He removed a fatty cyst from my abdomen in about 15 minutes. He told me how to care for the would and said that the stitches would dissolve so that I didn’t have to make any unnecessary follow up appointments. Although, he said not to hesitate to call if anything came up. I will definitely call on him in the future if necessary.

Dr. Preciado was referred by the ER for gallbladder surgery. Visiting with him, I let him know of previous liver complications. He took every step to make sure I didn't have another complication. He contacted my previous surgeons and got my past medical records, even got a second surgeon to assist him. I am doing great and am grateful to him and his staff for taking excellent care of me and for taking the extra steps that he did.

He was kind, explained the procedure and provided outstanding follow up care.

I had a very pleasant experience with Dr. Preciado. I went in for a hernia surgery. He was kind, calm, explained the procedure to me and put me at ease. Dr Preciado surgically repaired a inguinal hernia that Had been causing me trouble for over a year. From the initial consultation, and through the surgery he was confident and professional along with a very rare personal level of care. My mechanical/endoscopic surgery was performed perfectly with zero complications. I spent weeks researching surgeons and now have no doubt that I made the best choice.
