Bariatric Surgery
I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Barkan. My surgery went better then I expected . I was ready to go the next day after surgery. The office staff is wonderful and caring . They answered all my concerns . Dr. Barkan was available any time I needed to speak to him. This is the best Bariatric practice in New York and I would recommend it to anyway who needs weight loss surgery

Dr Balkan performed a vertical sleeve Gastrectomy on me in October 2011. It has been over 9 years & I have lost over 200 pounds & have maintained that loss to date. Dr. B & his staff were extremely supportive both during the initial 6 month work up leading to surgery & in the post postoperative period. They were available to answer questions & help with problems. The patient teaching was what led me to change my life to a comma new relationship with food. I no longer live to eat but eat only to live. He helped me get a new lease on life. I am healthier today than I was 10 years ago! Thank you, Dr Balkan.

He is an excellent surgeon. Pain after surgery was just about non existent. I believe that was due to his skill.

It was the best experience I have ever had with any Doctors office. From Dr Barkan to the girls in his office, his surgical coordinator and his nurses they were all caring and very helpful.
