He is well qualified

Dr. Gursoy implanted my first pacemaker 11 years ago and replaced the battery 3 years ago. He is knowledgeable but unfortunately quite arrogant. The wait for him once you are in his office is unacceptable, even if your appointment is early in the morning. He offers no apologies for his lateness even when it’s brought to his attention. I have switched to another doctor who is younger, as competent, and has much more empathy.

This physician implanted my pacemaker in December 2023. Since I was from out of town (snowbird). I came in through the ER and accepted the physician they suggested (Dr. Gursoy). I am satisfied with the quality of his implant. The reason for my interest in doing the review is his total lack of treating me as a patient. The following are my issues:He was 2 hours and 15 minutes late for doing the surgery and provided no information or apology.He never did a brief visit prior to surgery to introduce himself. I was experiencing 8 out of 10 pain level during staple incursion (I was semiconscious during surgery). He completely ignored this and just told my his life history to pass the time during surgery. He never talked to me or my wife post surgery. So I never did get to see/meet him. He sent his PA Chris to do the discharge visit. Chris and the hospital were excellent through out my stay!

Smart. Really smart. Thinks outside of the box and has a passion for his work.

He replace my wife pacemaker to a defibrillator , he damage her Artery, he didn't say anything to us, she hospitalize for a month, she develop edema on her left arm and left breast, her life was measurable, for 15 month he was lie and rude. finally we find a decent Doctor, he repaired the Artery which was damage by Dr. Gursoy. he is very rude, ignorant and have been lie to us for 15 month, We are not going to trust him at all.

I got referred to Dr.Gursoy from my family doctor . From the first time I met him in his office I was impressed about his professionally and direct way to explain ,answer all question to the point. I got a pacemaker during the surgery we talked what made it easier for me. Days after the surgery twice I went with concerns to the office with no appointments and was always heard and treated ,the office stuff was awesome understanding and caring. At the regular checkup Dr.Gursoy was caring and explained patiently questions I had. I only can say good things about him and his office where btw.I never had to wait more the a few minutes.

The most rude, disrespectful and dishonest Physician that I have ever known.

I recently had a cardiac issue requiring EMS and hospital admission. Dr Gursoy performed a cardiac ablation. His staff is very responsive. HE is very responsive and caring and explained my issues. I have been a patient of Dr Gursoy for 8 years treating my very low blood pressure and trust him implicitly. Highly recommend him and his very capable caring staff. They are always available or will call back if needed, to answer questions. I see another person wrote about his staff being rude. I wonder if this is the same person I encountered in the waiting room once who was beyond obnoxious and treated the staff horribly. Yes sometimes a wait, but his expertise is worth it.

This doctor should not be practicing medicine.

Installed pacemaker first time in 2001. Later in 2009. Wonderful bedside manner. Intend to make another appointment shortly for checkup. Have Been living out of town and have just returned. and have just returned.

He is a good guy who can be blunt. I appreciate hearing the truth, so I find that valuable. Plus he has a talented and responsive team around him.

Dr. Ahmet Gursoy saved my life by installing a pacemaker on me after three appalation. I moved away from Florida soon after, but led a normal life vs being miserably sick and unable. I was at age of 39 then. Dr. Gursoy's kindness, care, generosity is very memorable! May God reward him for his noble heart and genuine care for his patients. He is the only doctor that forgave me with an out-of-pocket bill after my surgery. I had SVTC, a life-threatening condition 260 beats minute! I ?? Dr. Gursoy!

Often there is a wait..as with other doctors..Considering he is dealing with life threatening illnesses & maybe called to hospital, I am accepting of that. Would hope he'd stay for me. I found him very comforting in the assuring manner he used to help me understand my problem. I trust him & I don't always feel he has to spend a lot of time with me. He would as needed. Staff has always been kind to me.

Had a appointment at 12:30 arrived 15 mins early. They took us in on time. The nurses did their thing and we waited for the dr to come in till 1:50. No one was moving around no patients being seen. He must have been out to lunch. When I left the office the waiting room was full. He has to respect our time also. Our time is just as important as his. Apparently he does not care. He spent 5 mins with us. If that.

Previous indications of heart issues went unchecked, but Dr. Gursoy immediately went all out to test me, found three major issues, sent me to the cath expert, who found an abnormality in a 100% blocked artery, who spent over 4 hrs. on it to keep me from having to have a by-pass. I think Dr. Gursoy works very hard to help needy patients. He is smart, talented. kind, does not hesitate to call in another expert, and you can be sure you will get the best answer to your problem. When my husband arrived in ER @ 7pm, with total heart block, the ER said he'd have to be moved to another hospital. Dr. Gursoy was just leaving after a full day's work. He went back, opened the OR, and gave him the pacemaker he needed at 10pm, because he was sure my husband would not survive the move. He did a perfect job. Also took care of me. He is kind, professional, talented, and very caring for others than himself.

I would Never recommend any patient to experience what I did with this Doctor. during my very brief visit with him he was constantly yawning and it seemed that either he is late taking his drug or he was suffering from lack of sleep. His staff are impolite, insulting and unprofessional and to me a Physician who is unable to manage his hostile staff by all means he is concern about his patients. Even no one has taken time to correct his office address.

Dr. Gursoy did an excellent job of explaining this very complicated area of medicine to me. He was able to help me understand what we are looking into with my heart issue. I appreciate the time he spent. I felt very encouraged we will get to the bottom of this. Thank You.
