Bad experience
The review is mainly for the Dr. I met in my second visit I was there to review my lab work. This Dr walked in, he didn’t bother to look at me and after a few minutes of minimizing my symptoms he walked out. Never going back. Never met Dr Alamir.

He is a caring and friendly doctor. He listens and diagnoses effectively. I trust him with my health care and highly recommend him and his Mesa staff and lab facility. You couldn't find a better doctor anywhere in the Phoenix area.

Dr. Alamir is the kindest doctor I have ever been to. He even called me to see why I had missed an appointment. He also did a great deal of research when I had a condition that was difficult to diagnose. I trust his judgement totally!

You can tell that Dr, Alamir is a gentle soul. He is very friendly, professional and great bedside manner. You feel that he actually listens and cares about you as a patient and want to do everything in his power to get you on the road to feeling better. Both he and the PA were amazing. I love how they both come in the room together and talk through an action plan of care. The atmosphere is relaxed and receptionist was warm and welcoming. I look forward to continue seeing them both.

The best doctor I have ever seen. He took time to explain my condition (Hashimoto’s thyroditis) and answered any questions that I had. He performed a biopsy on two nodules and it was quick and painless. He is very kind and I highly recommend him. He just recently joined Valley Endocrine Associates.

Dr. Alamir has been nothing but professional, patient and thorough. He spends as much time as needed to answer your questions. I've been to several endocrinologists in the valley and he is by far the best. He also personally calls you to tell you lab results. I highly recommend him - you won't find a more competent and caring endocrinologist.

He is always at least 25 minutes late, usually later, for your appointment & in the middle of the appointment he will stop to answer some else's question. He clearly has a cultural basis on your personal decisions. For example, he kept asking when I was going to get pregnant. I don't want children and he wouldn’t let it go. He always started with proscribing drugs before diet & exercise. Then when you declined, he can’t take no for an answer, which is really the only time he is listening.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Alamir?
My experience with this practice has been terrible. It is incredibly difficult to get an appointment scheduled, most of the time you get a vm, they take days to call you back. On both occasions, I've waited close to an hour to be seen. They tell you they will call you & don't. I had to wait over 3 weeks for blood test results. The staff are unhelpful and don't seem to care about the patients. However, Dr Alamir is wonderful. He listens & is sympathetic. Too bad everyone else is awful.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Alamir?
The doctor himself was one of the most unprofessional doctors I've ever had to deal with. The doctor did not take a quick A1C before talking to me, and was basing my current diabetic care on close to year old lab results and A1C. He also changed pump settings without documenting the changes which led to very low blood sugars (less than 40s) late at night. He also changed my perscriptions from 6 month to 3 months after informing him I was uncomfortable with him & would not be returning.
