Dr. Roberts repaired my damaged left shoulder (multiple items) ....... He did a great job. He is like many doctors today during office visits .... bouncing quickly from room to room Don't be timid ... explain to him that you have questions, ask him to slow down and talk. He will do that and both of you will be happy. He is an excellent doctor. I think enough of him that we are scheduling a surgery date to repair my right shoulder.

I had a difficult surgical choice to make regarding a large complete rotator cuff tear with muscle atrophy. I was a caregiver for Mom in my home until she passed away June 1st. So I had several steroid injections over the years to deal with the pain. It was just a small partial tear at first, but eventually my supraspinatus tendon tore completely off the bone and retracted away from the bone. My choices are rotator cuff repair versus reverse shoulder replacement. Dr. Roberts took a lot of time to explain these options, hear my concerns, even drew me a picture to show me basically how he would do both surgeries, and showed me the damage on my MRI. He was very honest with me and gave the repair a 40 to 50% chance of being successful, compared with the reverse replacement having a 95% success rate in my case. He was very thorough and took the time to answer all my questions. I have scheduled my reverse shoulder replacement surgery with full confidence that Dr. Roberts can fix my shoulder.
