I'm glad Dr. Godwin is now in California. In Georgia, he was a highly unskilled adult psychiatrist (he is licensed to treat children). I am fortunate to now (and for years) be seeing someone qualified to treat adults.

He is dangerous. A doctor who shouldn't be treating adults. I was sad and not suicidal. He still had me locked up for 3 1/2 days (the minimum). Horrific experience. He needs his medical license removed.

Dr. Godwin is a God Send. I started meeting with Dr. Godwin in 2017. I had worked with numerous doctors in the past for depression and thoughts of suicide because Dr. Godwin really listened to me. Because of how he cared for me, I am in a good place now and recognize that my life does have value. I recommend him highly for anyone dealing with depression who wants a renewed and refreshed mind.

Dr. Godwin is a breath of fresh air in the maze of psychiatrists I have seen inpatient and outpatient for my bipolar, anxiety & ADHD. He listens with intent and is comforting, yet realistic with his recommendations and explanations for treatment. He asks questions relevant to my concerns and doesn't cut me off when I speak. His diagnostic & observational skills and are excellent, giving me the confidence I need on my recovery journey.
