Biography: Dr. Salvatore Caruana is the Director of the Division of Head and Neck Surgery in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Columbia University Medical Center. He is a widely respected head and neck surgeon in the forefront of the surgical treatment of tumors of the mouth pharynx, larynx and sinuses, parathyroid surgery, thyroid gland, and salivary glands. He is a pioneer in laser microsurgery for pharyngeal and laryngeal cancers. Dr. Caruana is an Associate Clinical Professor of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Caruana graduated cum laude from the University of Buffalo and completed his Doctor of Medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. His general surgery training at St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center was followed by a residency in Otolaryngology at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. Biography: Michael J. Pitman MD is Chief of the Division of Laryngology at the Columbia University Medical Center and the Director of The Center For Voice And Swallowing. Dr. Pitman is an internationally recognized expert in voice restoration, conservation and care of the professional voice as well as in the care of swallowing and airway disorders. Dr. Pitman is also a NIH funded clinician scientist who has performed and published extensive research. Dr. Pitman has received numerous grants and patents for pioneering research in the field of Laryngology. Dr. Pitman has been voted by his peers as one of the "Best Doctors in America", as well as to New York Magazine "Top Doctors" and New York Times "SuperDocs". Biography: Dr. James Lee is an internationally recognized endocrine surgeon who specializes in the care of patients with thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal disorders. Dr. Lee is the Chief of Endocrine Surgery and the Edwin K. and Anne C. Weisskopf Professor of Surgical Oncology at Columbia University and the Physician Director of the Endocrine Service Line at the NY Presbyterian Hospital. He serves as Co-Director of the multidisciplinary Columbia Thyroid Center, Parathyroid Center, and Adrenal Center. He has been rated as one of the Best Doctors in America and is one of the highest volume endocrine surgeons in the country. Dr. Lee received his medical degree from Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons, completed his residency in General Surgery at Columbia and went on to a fellowship in Endocrine Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. Biography: Dr. McManus is a board-certified, high volume Endocrine surgeon who treats thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal disease and serves as the Surgical Director of the Thyroid Biopsy Program. Her expertise in minimally invasive interventions, including thermal ablation of thyroid nodules and robotic adrenalectomy, allows her to provide individualized, high quality care to all of her patients. Dr. McManus earned a master's degree in Clinical Research Methods and has received national and international recognition for her work including the International Association of Endocrine Surgeons (IAES) Travel Scholar Award.

Biography: Anuraag S. Parikh, MD is a fellowship trained head and neck surgeon scientist, with clinical expertise in the full breadth of head and neck surgical oncology and microvascular reconstruction. Dr. Parikh graduated from the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians & Surgeons, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Harvard University/Massachusetts Eye and Ear. During residency, he completed an additional two year postdoctoral research fellowship under an NIH T32 grant and was awarded the Jeffrey P. Harris, MD PhD Research Award for his work in tumor heterogeneity in head and neck cancer. He then completed fellowship in advanced head and neck surgical oncology and microvascular reconstruction at the Ohio State University/James Cancer Center. Dr. Parikh's clinical interests include the treatment of benign and malignant conditions of the head and neck, including tumors of the oral cavity, pharynx, larynx, sinonasal tract, skull base, skin, salivary glands, thyroid, and parathyroid. Dr. Parikh specializes in transoral robotic surgery (TORS) for tumors of the oropharynx and microvascular free tissue transfer for reconstruction of the head and neck. Dr. Parikh also conducts basic and translational research aimed at understanding the role of tumor heterogeneity on treatment outcomes in head and neck cancer (HNSCC) and salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC). His work utilizes novel techniques such as single cell sequencing, multispectral imaging, and 3D organoid modeling to model HNSCC and ACC tumors at the level of individual cells. Dr. Parikh is the author of many highly impactful peer-reviewed articles, including publications in Cell and Nature Biotechnology, and he has regularly presented his research at national meetings.

Biography: Yi Cai, MD is an Assistant Professor and Director of Sleep Surgery at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She is driven by the desire to improve patients' sleep through innovative clinical and research approaches. As one of the few fellowship-trained sleep surgeons in the New York City area, Dr. Cai has expertise in the diagnosis and surgical management of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). She devotes significant attention to upper airway evaluation in personalizing treatment for her patients and offers the full spectrum of surgical sleep apnea care, ranging from nasal and pharyngeal surgery to skeletal surgery to hypoglossal nerve stimulation (Inspire therapy). Dr. Cai received her undergraduate degree with honors from Harvard College and her medical degree from Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons, where she was awarded the Coakley Memorial Prize and Donald M. Biography: Dean Mancuso, Au.D., currently serves as Assistant Professor of Audiology at Columbia University Medical Center, where he specializes in providing diagnostic, rehabilitative and preventative audiological services to adult patients. Dr. Mancuso has a background as a music recording engineer with a bachelor's degree from SUNY Fredonia in Sound Recording Technology. After several years working in the recording industry, Dr. Mancuso received his Master's Degree in Communication Sciences from CUNY Hunter, and his Doctor of Audiology degree from Salus University. Dr. Mancuso's clinical interests lie in the diagnosis, prevention and management adult hearing loss, including hearing aids, osseointegrated devices, and other assistive technology. He also performs vestibular testing including Videonystagmography (VNG), Vestibular-Evoked Myogenic Potentials (cVEMP and oVEMP), and Vestibular Head Impulse Testing (VHIT). Dr. Mancuso's current research is in the area of music perception among normally hearing and hearing-impaired populations.
