Biography: Michael Longo, MD, FACC, is a board-certified cardiologist specializing in echocardiography, valvular heart disease and preventive cardiology. _x000D_ Dr. Longo enjoys getting to know his patients. He listens to them to understand their concerns and find out what they are interested in doing, then tailors their treatment accordingly. He is able to provide a collaborative approach to patient care that takes into consideration the expertise of other professionals, such as interventional cardiologists and thoracic surgeons, resulting in the right care for the right patient at the right time. Biography: Wayne Hwang, MD, FACC, is a board-certified cardiologist who specializes in consultative cardiology, coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, peripheral arterial interventions, interventional cardiology, congestive heart failure, hypertension and functional cardiac stress testing. _x000D_ Dr. Hwang believes it is important to understand the disease process and to put that into the context of what the patient is going through by understanding each patient's story. Biography: Srinidhi Meera, MD, is a non-invasive cardiologist who is passionate in the management of a variety of heart conditions using the most updated, guideline-directed and evidence-based care. She has a special interest in cardiovascular diagnostic imaging as well. Dr. Meera enjoys getting to know her patients and educating them about their disease. Her approach is to consider the unique characteristics that are at play with each patient and come up with a shared decision in partnership with her patient.Dr. Meera is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American Society of Echocardiography, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology and Society of Cardiovascular Computerized Tomography. Biography: J. Susie Woo, MD, is a board-certified cardiologist. Her medical interests include preventive and diagnostic cardiology; echocardiography; cardiac risk assessment; and valvular and aortic disease. She has specialized training in cardiac imaging and heart failure, with additional board certifications in Nuclear Cardiology and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology._x000D_ Dr. Woo makes it a priority to listen and develop a strong patient-doctor relationship through education and open communication. Biography: Mariko Harper, MD, FACC is a board-certified cardiologist who specializes in all aspects of adult cardiology including: coronary artery disease, hyperlipidemia, valvular heart disease, arrhythmias, genetic/infiltrative cardiomyopathy, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) and heart failure. She has a special expertise in advanced heart failure and advanced cardiac imaging with additional training and board certifications in both echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. _x000D_ Dr. Harper serves as the Medical Director of The Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Center at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. Under her direction, she has created a regional center providing an individualized approach to the diagnosis, genetic testing, advanced cardiac imaging and medical/surgical management of patients with HCM. Each patient is reviewed by a multidisciplinary team of physicians and treatment plans are designed with patient input, using a shared decision making model. The HCM Center offers comprehensive HCM treatments including: medical therapy, defibrillator implantation, alcohol septal ablation and surgical septal myectomy. The HCM Center is also one of the first centers in the PNW to offer the recently FDA-approved novel HCM medication mavacamten (Camzyos®) through a comprehensive drug safety program. She also serves as a principal investigator for ongoing HCM clinical trials. _x000D_ Dr. Harper has authored and published multiple peer reviewed articles and book chapters in a wide range of topics in cardiology. Biography: Nathan Segerson, MD, FHRS, is a board-certified in cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology. Dr. Segerson believes that the seriousness of the intervention should match the seriousness of the condition. Nobody should be over-treated or over-medicated for symptomatic, benign diagnoses, but we should never settle for deteriorating quality of life if promising therapeutic options exist. Also, both medications and procedural therapies should always be coupled with guidance toward a healthy lifestyle.
