Care Philosophy: Caprica Ramirez Lopez, ARNP, is a cardiology nurse practitioner caring for adult and senior heart patients. Rooted in the Eastern philosophies of Ayurveda, Yoga, and Buddhism, Caprica's approach to care emphasizes the holistic well-being of the individual. She believes true health encompasses not only the absence of disease, but also a harmonious balance of physical, mental, spiritual, and social factors. As an experienced nurse practitioner, Caprica listens attentively and with compassion to each patient's unique needs, developing personalized care plans that address both physical and emotional health. Biography: Dr. Sunu Thomas, MD is an Advanced Heart Failure /amp Transplant Cardiology Specialist who practices in Seattle, WA. He is 53 years old and has been practicing for 20 years. Dr. Sunu Thomas, MD is affiliated with UW Medical Center-Montlake and UW Medicine.

Biography: Neal Chatterjee, MD, MSc is a cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist, and an assistant professor of Medicine at UW School of Medicine.Dr. Chatterjee's clinical interests focus on catheter ablation of cardiac arrhythmias, particularly ventricular tachycardia, atrial fibrillation, and other supraventricular tachycardias (SVTs). Dr. Chatterjee values understanding each patient's goals in order to create an active partnership with his patients and deliver the best care possible.Dr. Chatterjee received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School. He then completed his internal medicine residency and fellowships in cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. He also earned a Master of Science in Epidemiology from the Harvard School of Public Health.Dr. Chatterjee is an active clinical investigator with a research focus on the prevention and treatment of sudden cardiac death.

Biography: Jeanne Poole, MD, is a board certified physician at the Cardiology Clinic at UW Medical Center, director of UW Medicine Cardiac Electrophysiology and a UW professor of Cardiology and Medicine.Dr. Poole sees patients with heart rhythm abnormalities or symptoms explainable by a heart rhythm abnormality and offers medical and procedural therapy when appropriate. She performs surgical placement of implantable pacemakers and defibrillators, and other procedures specific to the heart rhythm condition. She strives to create active partnerships with her patients to achieve the best possible outcomes.Dr. Poole earned her M.D. at the UW. She is triple board certified in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology, Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine. Her clinical interests include patients with heart rhythm disorders. Her research interests include prevention of sudden cardiac death through technological advancements.

Biography: Jordan M. Prutkin, M.D., M.H.S., is a cardiac electrophysiologist and sports cardiologist. He is a Professor of Medicine in the Section of Electrophysiology in the Division of Cardiology. He is the Medical Director of Ambulatory Care for the UW Heart Institute and Associate Director of the UW Center for Sports Cardiology. Dr. Prutkin sees patients with a variety of heart rhythm disorders including atrial fibrillation (afib), atrial flutter, supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW), ventricular tachycardia, premature ventricular contractions (PVCs), and sudden cardiac arrest. He is an experienced ablationist and implants all types of pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs).Dr. Prutkin's other clinical and research focus is the management of arrhythmias in athletes and recreational exercisers. His goal is not to restrict patients, but to help them excel and live their best lives.
