Biography: Shelby Sorensen, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant with LewisGale Physicians in Salem, Virginia. Ms. Sorensen earned her Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Medicine from the University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio, followed by her Master of Physician Assistant Medicine from Radford University Carilion in Roanoke, Virginia. Ms. Sorensen is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She is experienced in diagnosing and treating a wide range of heart conditions, as well as providing preventive care and diagnostic testing. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Virginia Polytechnic and State University and an Associate of Science from Virginia Western Community College.Ms. Overfelt is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She is experienced in diagnosing and treating a wide range of heart conditions, as well as providing preventive care and diagnostic testing. When not seeing patients, Ms. Overfelt volunteers her time with community-based free clinics, the Medical Reserve Corps, and providing care on international medical mission trips.
