Biography: Richard Konstance, MD, MBA, FACC, FSCAI, RPVI, is an interventional cardiologist with LewisGale Physicians Heart of Virginia Cardiology in Roanoke, Virginia. He is also the Director of Interventional Cardiology at LewisGale Medical Center. Dr. Konstance completed his undergraduate work at Penn State University and then earned a medical degree from MCP Hahnemann University. All post-graduate medical training (internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, & interventional cardiology) was done at Duke University from where he also holds an MBA (Duke University Fuqua School of Business). Prior to joining Heart of Virginia Cardiology, where he has been practicing since 2011, Dr. Konstance was a partner at Centre Medical & Surgical Associates in State College, Pennsylvania. During his time practicing in State College, he was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Dr. Konstance initiated the endovascular lab at Mount Nittany Medical Center as well as co-initiating their percutaneous intervention program (PCI). Dr. Konstance's current practice includes general and interventional cardiology with special interest in the non-surgical management of peripheral vascular disease. Dr. Konstance is welcoming new patients and referrals.
