Biography: Dr. Stern was born in Chicago Illinois but came to NYC a few months later and was raised in Greenwich village, New York. She graduated from the University of Chicago with an AB in 1986. She attended Medical school at NYU School of Medicine graduating in 1990. Internship, Residency and an additional year of Chief Residency were completed in 1994 at NYU Langone Medical Center/ Bellevue Hospital. She remained at NYU Langone Health to complete a fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases in 1997 with a concentration in Echocardiography. She has been in clinical practice for the last twenty seven years at Murray Hill Medical Group PC/CareMount Medical Group/Optum. She has been taking care of patients in the primary care and hospital settings in a multi specialty group affiliated with NYU Langone Health. Since 1997 she had been on the faculty at NYU Langone Health as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine. In addition to her clinical responsibilities she was the Medical Director of the ICAEL accredited non invasive testing suite at MHMG/CareMount/Optum. She is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Echocardiography.

Biography: Dr. Saluja graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Wesleyan University in Connecticut in 1996 where he was the recipient of the Hawk Prize for Excellence in Molecular Biology. He went on do to his Internal Medicine training at Columbia, serving as Chief Resident before completing additional training in Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology. He served as the Director of the Electrophysiology Laboratory at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital from 2012 until 2018 before returning to Columbia. Dr Saluja continues to be active in teaching, research, and clinical practice. He has was named Teacher of the Year four times, has been named a Top Doctor by Castle-Connolly and New Jersey Monthly, and has numerous research publications and presentations at national meetings. Dr Saluja is a full-time faculty member at Columbia and sees patients at the Herbert Irving Pavilion at the Washington Heights campus.

Biography: Dr. Laighold was born and raised in New York City and attended high school near Weill Cornell. Dr. Laighold graduated with honors from the University of Michigan, and then attended Weill Medical College of Cornell University. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 2006 and his fellowship in cardiology at North Shore University Hospital/LIJ Medical Center in 2009.Dr. Laighold joined the faculty in 2024 from Northwell Health where he had worked since 2009. He previously was the Director of Clinical Cardiology at Southside Hospital and the Director of Noninvasive Structural Heart Program at North Shore University Hospital.

Biography: Dr. Daniel Lu graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He then completed his medical training as well as a Masters of Health Sciences at Yale School of Medicine, followed by internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He then completed his subspecialty training in Cardiology at New York-Presbyterian Hospital - Weill Cornell Medical Center, and underwent further subspecialty training in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology at both NYP-Cornell and NYP-Columbia. Dr. Lu has co-authored numerous research papers in medicine and cardiology and maintains an active research interest investigating outcomes of treatment for heart failure and cardiogenic shock.

Biography: Stefano Ravalli, MD is a cardiologist at Columbia University Medical Center/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Ravalli's areas of expertise include coronary artery disease, hypertension, cardiac imaging, congestive heart failure and valvular heart disease. Dr. Ravalli is board certified in cardiovascular disease and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Ravalli received his medical degree from the University of Rome La Sapienza, where he graduated Summa cum laude. He completed his residency and internship at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, cardiology and heart failure/transplant cardiology fellowships at Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Ravalli has been named as a New York Super Doctor and US News & World Report's Best Doctors of America. Dr. Ravalli is an active preceptor at Columbia for medical student, residents and fellows and has authored more than 40 manuscripts and abstracts. Dr. Ravalli is a member of the ColumbiaDoctors Hypertension Center, a multi-disciplinary center of excellence that provides high quality care and state-of-the-art diagnostic testing for patients with hypertension. He sees patients at ColumbiaDoctors Midtown and Columbia University Medical Center in Washington Heights, New York.

Care Philosophy: We provide cardiovascular consultation, diagnosis and interventional care to the whole patient, understanding that diseases which affect the arteries of the heart may also affect those anywhere in the body. We offer invasive and medical treatments for stroke and heart attack prevention (coronary and carotid stenting), opening of blocked arteries in the legs and the kidney arteries when required to treat high blood pressure or kidney failure. Dr. Wilentz has been a researcher and active in the fields of coronary and carotid artery diagnosis and treatment and is an Editor for the Journal of Invasive Cardiology. He is the author of articles on the use of intravascular ultrasound and coronary flow measurement to determine which blockages really need a stent. He has also been co-author of a book on carotid stenting, and articles on brain protection during carotid procedures. He is currently using a novel method to protect the brain during carotid stenting.
