Care Philosophy: My professional focus is equally directed on the direct care of patients intimately combined with teaching Fellows diagnostic and interventional therapeutic cardiac procedures in the catheterization laboratory. I consider it a significant privilege to work side by side with so many other experts in the provision of excellent health care. Biography: Christopher Irobunda, MD, is an Associate Professor at CUMC and an interventionalist. He is also Vice Chair of the Faculty Development focusing on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion within the Department of Medicine. He trained as a general and interventional cardiologist. Dr. Irobunda has been a full-time faculty since 2003. He obtained his MD/PhD in the Medical Scientist Training Program at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, NY. His PhD was in Molecular Pharmacology, specifically on the cyclic Adenosine MonoPhosphate/beta-adrenergic signal transduction system. He subsequently completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at New York University Medical Center, followed by his General and Interventional Cardiology Fellowship here at Columbia University Medical Center. After completing his medical training and research study, he shifted his concentration to patient care and the education of aspiring young physicians. Dr. Irobunda is ardently dedicated to uncompromised patient care and teaching. His primary focus is individualized patient care and patient advocacy. Given his training as a medical scientist, it is hardly surprising that he is a keen diagnostician. He has a penchant for complex cardiac issues and other medical problems that can sometimes mask or aggravate the cardiac disease. His aptitude for unraveling these medical conundrums has led to medical diagnoses for patients who have come to him for second and even third opinions. However, above all else, his true genius is his ability to relate to his patients with intelligence, curiosity, patience, compassion, and humor. His ability to waylay even the most apprehensive of patients with his aura of reassurance and understanding has garnered him a continually growing medical practice. Again and again, individuals will refer family members and friends because of the empathy and level of care constantly provided. Indeed, his unceasing diligence has led him to become a physician member of Columbia University Medical Centers Patient Facilitated Services, an organization directed at patient satisfaction and outreach. Dr. Irobunda has also been the primary cardiologist for patients undergoing liver transplant evaluations at New York Presbyterian since 2004. Biography: Dr. Parikh is the Director of Endovascular Services at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and Associate Professor of Medicine at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He lectures frequently at national meetings including Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT), ACC and SCAI amongst others. Dr. Parikh grew up in northern New Jersey and graduated from Livingston High School. He went on to graduate magna cum laude from Harvard College with an AB in Biomedical Sciences and Engineering and went on to earn his MD from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine with Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha honors. He completed his internal medicine residency and chief residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital, cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology fellowships at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and vascular medicine and intervention fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital, all teaching hospitals affiliated with the Harvard Medical School in Boston. Biography: Dr. William Prabhu is an interventional cardiologist at Columbia. He graduated from SUNY Upstate medical school at Syracuse in 2009. He completed residency and a chief residency at UVM medical center from 2009-2012. He then completed general cardiology, interventional cardiology, structural heart and peripheral vascular fellowships at Brown University from 2013-2018. From 2018-2021 he practiced primarily in Rockland county performing the highest volume of cardiac catheterizations, PCIs, and TAVRs in the county during his time there. In 2022, he joined the faculty at Columbia's Interventional Cardiovascular Care program. Along with his busy clinical responsibilities, Dr. Prabhu participates in multiple randomized controlled trials as part of his academic work with CUIMC.Dr. Prabhu performs cardiac catheterizations, peripheral vascular, and structural heart procedures at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He is the Associate Director of the cardiac Cath lab at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital. Dr. Prabhu takes pride in bringing modern cardiac interventional techniques and advanced treatments for coronary artery disease, structural heart disease, peripheral vascular disease and pulmonary embolism to Westchester County.

He finished both Residency in Internal Medicine and Cardiology Fellowship at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital in New York. Dr. Reisman completed Interventional Cardiology at University of California San Diego Medical Center in San Diego.Dr. Reisman has a very productive career as exemplified by authorship and co-authorship of over 100 publications.
