Dr. Mirza most recently completed a Hematology/Oncology Clinical Fellowship at Yale University, Smilow Cancer Hospital, New Haven, Connecticut. Dr. Mirza's clinical interests involve optimizing cellular therapies for hematologic malignancies. He is also interested in optimizing immune reconstitution and regulating the immune system to maximize long-term clinical outcomes. Dr. Mirza's research has been focused on toxicities associated with hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and cellular therapies for different types of leukemia and lymphoma. He has been actively involved in both single institutional experiences and multi-institutional registry studies as well as translational studies.

Biography: Dr. Puri received her MD degree from Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Rohtak, Haryana, India. She completed an Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, Farmington, followed by a Hematology and Oncology Fellowship at Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa. Dr. Puri joins us from the Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, where she was appointed Assistant Professor in the Division of Medical Oncology. During her time at the Huntsman Cancer Institute, she served as the Physician Leader for the Thoracic Clinical Trial Research Group; in that role, she managed the ongoing and future clinical trial portfolio. We are excited for her to partner with Dr. Andreas Saltos in the role of our Clinical Research Medical Director to drive the clinical research vision and manage our trial portfolio. Dr. Puri's clinical interests involve treating patients with thoracic malignancies including non-small cell and small cell lung cancer. Her research interests include development of clinical trials for patients with thoracic malignancies with emphasis on immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and other novel therapeutics.
