I had suffered from what I strongly suspected was a hernia for over 10 years, but in all that time no medical professional was ever able to detect it. The bulge that I often felt never seemed to appear during a medical visit. It didn't even show up on a CT scan during an ER visit I made due to the pain I was feeling. A few months ago I consulted Dr. Dupree, and he felt the hernia immediately. I left his office not only with a diagnosis, but also with a plan to have a robotic repair. The procedure was done as an outpatient, and from the moment I woke up from the anesthesia I experienced no pain. I did have some soreness when making certain movements, and some tenderness at the incision sites, but nothing that a couple of days on OTC pain medication wasn't able to manage. Best of all the years of discomfort from this hernia are over. I will always be amazed at the ease of my recovery, and always so grateful to have found Dr. Dupree.
