Dr. Lazzaro literally saved my brothers life.
He is simply the best in the country and the kindest doctor you’ll ever meet. My brother is special needs and kept ending up in the hospital every two weeks from a bad hiatal hernia problem. Dr. Lazzaro did the surgery and my brother recovered very quickly. He is thriving and has been healthy and happy ever since. What a miracle because no one else would help him. They said the surgery might not work but if he didn’t have it he would be put on a feeding tube and might not live very long. God was watching over my brother sending the best surgeon and I thank God every day for Dr. Lazzaro.

Tracheobronchomalacia
Dr Lazzaro is absolutely the most talented surgeon I have ever met. I was diagnosed with airway collapse in 2020 at the Cleveland clinic and had Tracheobronchoplasty in Cleveland clinic which failed. They had a airway meeting to discuss my condition and decided that they couldn't do anymore for me. Then I was blessed to see a video of Dr Lazzaro talking about tracheobronchomalacia. So my wife and decided to see him, and what a blessing it was that we made that decision. Dr Lazzaro redid the tracheobronchoplasty surgery Cleveland clinic did. He is absolutely amazing doctor, surgical skills are unmatched and bedside manners are better than any doctor I have ever met.. Dr Lazzaro and his team I believe are the best in the country dealing with Tracheobronchomalacia.

Dr Lazzaro saved my life. I flew from California to New Jersey for him to repair a tracheabronchplasty. I was told it could not be done. I can’t thank him enough for taking me as a patient and performing a robotic surgery. My quality of life is outstanding because of him. Thank you Dr Lazzaro.

I have never been more pleased with a drs consultation. He listens , he cares , he understands. i feel that i am in the best possible hands. I know that whatever the continued care and my test results conclude, i will trust that my on going care will be the right, and best decision for my treatment. he knew my past experience at another facility , my chart , my history and what i had been through. I am happy to have found him. I feel lucky. Lenox Hill really pays attention to each individual and treats their patients with respect.

Dr. Lazzaro is a brilliant physician and technician. In addition, he is an insightful and caring human being who puts his patients first. Following lung cancer surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital in March, 2019, I was able to return home in 3 days with minimal discomfort and my recovery has been much easier than expected. Dr. Lazzaro made a frightening diagnosis as manageable as possible and he and his team have been supportive and concerned throughout this entire experience. I am so grateful.

I recently had esophageal surgery that included part of my upper stomach valve. I was referred to Dr. Lazzaro by my gastroenterologist and I couldn't be happier. He was thorough, listened to my concerns and helped me make the right decision for my course of treatment. Dr. Lazzaro used state of the art technology, with which he is obviously an expert. His entire staff was fantastic in responding to my inquiries and questions as well. I can't recommend him enough.

There is simply no better Doctor or human being than Doctor Lazzaro. My dad was struggling with health issues for years and Doctor Lazzaro was instrumental in helping him get the care and guidance he needed. He is the rare breed of Doctor who has as much heart and intelligence as he has skill and experience. I trust him implicitly with my life and with my family's life.

I had the laparoscopic, robotic-assisted repair of para-esophageal hiatal hernia with partial Nissen fundoplication by Dr. Lazzaro in October 2016. I found Dr. Lazzaro to be a very caring and compassionate as well as highly skilled surgeon. I was actually terrified before this surgery, although I thought I did a pretty good job of hiding it from everyone! Dr. Lazzaro answered all my questions before the surgery, I did very well, and he and his staff handled my follow-up issues promptly.
