UNRELIABLE STAFF
After my diagnosis of cataracts, I sat with the surgery coordinator. I was asked to pay $95 for a kit that would include eye drops and a shield. I asked that rather I wanted a prescription sent to my pharmacy so my insurance would cover it. I also was told I needed a pre-op clearance from my PCP before surgery. I scheduled with my PCP and learned the necessary paperwork was not sent to their office after which made a 2nd appointment necessary to complete the pre-op assessment. Before my scheduled surgery I called to speak to the surgery coordinator on 3 different days, left messages that I needed the eye drop Rx and I had other questions. I never received a callback to any of my calls.I care for my adult son with special needs and made arrangements for him and myself for the surgery date. 2 days prior to surgery the Envision office called to cancel on me. Considering I had not received the drops I was to be using by then I felt using Envision Eye Specialist, Largo, isn't for me.

diabetic and blood pressure
Went there a year ago, nice people but totally inept. They said I had a cataract and would be done in a month, went back for pressure test, they said I was high risk due to blood pressure and diabetes and $2800.00 up graded lens are good for me. After 4-5 phone calls to Stella no one called to set the surgery date. So I went back to my ins co and they allowed me to then go to eye assoc. At the first exam at the end the actual doctor came in for 3 minutes examined me . He said I didn't need the $2800.00 lens, would do no good for me. The standard lens would be fine for me, I asked what should I do with the $2800.00?? His nurse told me she would take it LOL.Then I asked him about the diabetes and blood pressure high risk situation, The Doctor said most of his patients have blood pressure and diabetees treatment, he said its no big deal and he would be done in ten minutes or less.Within 3 weeks he did the catarac, went perfect. Seeing a doctor made the diffrence, not an assistant

No nonsense
Went in for a stubborn stye. Dr. An Huynh examined me, showed a big backlit picture and explained exactly what was going on, then gave me very practical advice and clear idea on what to expect.

Everybody Was Helpful
I went there for cataract surgery. It went fine, and was totally painless. A special shout out to Stella and Janice who went above and beyond to make sure I got to Sarasota and back with no problems. The only issue I have is that the office in Sarasota who did the surgery told me my deductible was $100.00, and 3 weeks later sent be a bill for another $100.00.
