Dr. Hafner completed residency training in reconstructive foot & ankle surgery at the Yale - New Haven Medical Center. Dr. Hafner has been published for his original research. His training at Yale has given him an abundance of experience in elective, reconstructive and trauma procedures of the foot and ankle. He is board certified with the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and is on staff at UVA Prince William Medical Center, Reston Hospital Center, Stone Springs Hospital Center, Reston Surgery Center, Stone Springs Surgery Center and INOVA Loudoun Hospital. Dr. Hafner has recieved multiple distinctions of being named one of Northern Virginia Magazine's Top Doctors. His most recent recognitions include 2022, 2023 & 2024. He obtained his MD degree at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed residency training at Temple University Hospital and a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Georgetown University. He is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and is a Fellow in American Orthopaedic Surgeons Society. Dr. Kim treats patients with all types of orthopedic conditions but specializes in sports medicine and osteoarthritis problems. Most of his elective cases are performed via minimally invasive arthroscopic approach. He also performs total knee replacements utilizing robotic surgery. Dr. Kim provides skilled surgical care based on years of experience and thousands of surgical cases. Dr. Kim volunteers his time at local high schools taking care of athletes. He currently serves as the team physician to Battlefield High School and US Speedskating. He regularly provides lectures for certified athletic trainers of Prince William County Schools and works closely with athletic training department of George Mason University. He is actively involved in researches in sports medicine in conjunction with the George Mason University Athletic Training Department. Dr. Kim has numerous honors.
